Well after recently watching the JCVD movie I was looking forward to seeing some old fashioned violence mixed up with... Acting?! I got disappointed, don't know if the director was on holidays during the entire production and shooting of this movie, it sure seems so. The acting makes the Bold and the Beautiful look like Academy Award material.
So at least the action parts kicked ass? Not really, no new ideas, no exceptional moves, camera and editing reminiscent of a laggy pc running heavy 1st person shooter.
The plot makes early Charles Bronson flicks and Bob the Builder seem deep and complicated and the references are both in your face and without actual connection to neither story nor action.'
I wish I could come to a more positive conclusion sadly I can't, unless your alternative is two hours of random genital acupuncture with a dirty rusty needle I wouldn't go for this piece.
