It seems that those years do not exist for the film-maker...For the director the war had no consequences, it is an "unfinished" film and totally biased: why the Spanish left, especially the rural working classes were so against priests and church? No look at this background of starvation for the poor and privileges for the church. In fact, many priests participated in the rebeld side with their guns at the side...
