Tentai Senshi Sunred (2008–2010)

Excellent exploration of the good guy vs. the villain complex

I absolutely adore this show's satirical approach of a super hero and his complicated relationship with a group of villains. It mocks many themed shows, but most familiarly to myself the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, in a way that the "hero" and "villains" are simply employed to fulfill these roles without pay. I am using villain to describe the monsters, please don't take it with a connotative tone. The main villain is sensitive and considerate, and loves to cook and discuss recipes, while the hero is like a washed out bum, living off of his girlfriend's salary. Time is taken in the show to explore the dynamics between hero/villain, villain/villain, hero/society, monster/society in a more natural sense, and most often is just comedic. I highly recommend this show, if you know how to find a way to watch it ;)
