I was going to come home saying that I loved this movie regardless of what I saw on the screen. But I was blown away by how good it is.
Having read all of the books, I had high expectations with each of them met - Wirrawee being as I pictured, the reactions when Ellie and her friends return to find everyone gone.
And I adore the score! It keeps people who know exactly how the story will unfold on the edge of their seat the entire time! At the Perth premier (there's a lot to be said for winning free tickets), Caitlin Stasey called for everyone who liked the film to tell everyone about it so our industry could keep making them. I am doing my bit to let everyone know how fantastic this movie is.
Will definitely pay to see it next time.
