New kid moves to New Jersey and gets hooked up with two girls, one of whom has a band that she wants him to manage so they can win the Bandslam, the schools version of a battle of the bands. Romance and comedy follow.
I had no interest in this film what so ever, and thought it was disposable until several friends told me it wasn't bad. I still wasn't convinced until I found out what some o the music being used was and I realized that whomever was responsible for the film at the very least had a clue about the music so I decided to give the film a try. Amazingly I liked it. Yes its predictable but you won't care. There are some good characters, some amusing lines, and some really good music. Its one of the best film of this sort thats has come out in a long time, certainly from a major studio.
