This I saw when it came out because of the excellent cast & special effects at the time were excellent, then re-watched again, & it is as bad if not worse than I remember. You can't believe the waste of the cast who are terribly wasted spitting out stupid dialog & dragging out this terrible script & making the movie so boring. I can't imagine the book could have been bad, but my god they must have taken everything good out. "Hmmm, let's not put anything good about the book in the film, so they'll read the book instead." Skip this, or you'll want your 2 hours & 15 minutes back. I want my 4 1/2 hours back I wasted on this. This is when you really need someone to make the script good & need to cut and re-cut. Poorly done in all respects.
