Entertaining, but at the cost of lost brain cells

Warning: Spoilers
As a giant bloodbath, it is probably one of the most original films I've seen in recent memory. It reminds me of the good old days of watching cult classics such as Bad Taste and Re-Animator.

The killing of the Yakuza was extremely unique, except that it might resemble the Grindhouse: Planet Terror concept (machine gun for a limb). The killing even had some humor to go along with it.

The cheese in this movie is of course that much of these stunts don't really apply well to the law of physics and the nature of society and sadly, it stereotypes the broad daylight action movies, where 90% of the action was done in the middle of the day, This movie wasn't supposed to be an intellectual thrill ride or anything remotely close to it. This is more a flex on the capability of special effects artists. This was also a flex on how disgusting a director and producer wants to be when it comes to making these gory movies by finding new ways to torture or maim a human being.

Further more, this movie displayed some petty and cowardly villains and the Machine girl repeatedly gets tasked to save the same three schoolboys.

The action was relentlessly brutal and colorful but it wasn't at all intelligent. I felt entertained but as if I lost a few brain cells at the same time.I am giving it a 6 merely because of its special effects and entertainment value. The villains start to act way too weird for my taste near the end when they bust out wearing shoulder pads and helmets. WTF?

This movie is like a night of wild drinking and when you're finished with it. It feels like a bad hangover with a bad taste in your mouth. Overall, it is hard to say I can recommend this movie, but watch it if this is your kind of entertainment.
