Before I discuss The Vikings a small correction needs to be made.
Ron Ely replaced Keith Larsen on The Aquanauts (which I believe was retitled Malibu Run by then.
Glenn Corbett replaced George McHarris on Route 66.
I was nine years old when The Vikings appeared (to me) out of nowhere on Sunday afternoons in the Rochester NY area although I do not recall which station ran it. I remember the lead hero (Leif) wearing a dark shirt that seemed to have stars all over it. His brother--a big bearded fellow also seemed to be arguing about how to go about their various adventures and since I often fought with my own siblings was never 'quite' sure if there was any love lost there. The only episode I have a fair memory plotwise was Leif stranded in a village and trying to keep the people from finding out he was a Viking. (Hope that wasn't a spoiler.)
