I just finished watching the film and I honestly can't remember one laugh out loud moment. The potentially brilliant story line is crammed with so many irrelevant character cameos that there was no room left for any real substance or humor. Now I can appreciate the cameos as much as the next fan but if the story ain't interesting or funny, I'm not watching.
Seriously, if you're going to put Zapp Brannigan on screen why not have him say something remotely funny? The only reason I finished the film was out of respect for the original series and the hope that it might get better. Unfortunately it didn't.
Where was the comic genius that is futurama? My fingers are crossed for the next film.
