Video Murders is actually a drama/thriller about the descent into madness of a young man, who rapes and strangles runaway hookers on camera. Marketed as a horror/slasher, but isn't. It still remains a well-crafted, disturbing, and chilling film. Shot on what looks like 16mm film gives the film a grittiness, realistic feel. It is capably acted by mostly a group of unknowns. That's quite impressive, given most regionally shot, low budget, independent films are badly acted most of the time. This is an extremely rare film, but if you can manage to somehow track down a copy. It's more than worth a watch. I acquired my copy on ebay for a mere $7.00. It was well spent. My rating 6/10.
