Warning: Spoilers
Not original by any stretch of the imagination, but not entirely bad either.

I have a habit of reading about the movie after i have seen it, and was kinda surprised that it was supposed to be based on snow white and the seven dwarfs. i even read on incredibly intelligent reviewer say that walt Disney must be rolling in his grave...

...thats all good and fine when i would rather wonder what the brothers grimm would have to say considering that they wrote it...

Never the less, i really didn't see that. it never really dawned on me that there were seven "dorks", and that amanda bynes' character's last name was "white", and that whole theme of dorks=dwarfs and her name being mentioned over and over again just never clicked. and in retrospect, when they were picketing down the road, and they randomly said "hi-ho" directed towards the protagonist (paxton), makes a bit more sense(i thought they were saying "hi, HOE").

Shows what i know...

yo...

Anyway, this movie reminded me more of revenge of the nerds then anything else. as i said above there wasn't really anything original to this film. it was your typical geek/"dork"/nerd/undesirable rising up and showing that everyone has a little of that in all of us.

Was it a decent watch? well, my wife and i did see it during the matinée...

Would we have seen it during the evening? probably not...

That's not to say that it would appeal to one age bracket or another. it's simply a typical college acceptance movie. we can all relate to not fitting in at one point or another, so it is universal.

In all truth and honesty, the whole snow white theme really wasn't there, so i would advise not going into this thinking that it is going to be.

Thus concluding my most disjointed review to date.
