I had such high hopes for this film after seeing it's high ratings. It's just the kind of story I love, but I was very disappointed. It has a ten star storyline for sure but the film was poorly done. The acting was alright, the camera work - terrible, soundtrack - repetitious and annoying, the script - cheesy, editing - so lame. I realize that it was a "made for TV movie" but I find that to be no excuse to lower the standards so drastically.
If medical drama is what you seek you're better off watching Discovery Health Channel, ER, or an A & E special on this pioneering surgery. If you seek a story about conflict involving race relations there are better films out there.
