This is the most over the top soap I've ever seen. It's very low budget and although you know it's terrible you're fascinated at the same time. Once you're in it you can't let loose. Rich and Scary is based on these big soaps we know from our childhood but it completely turns them upside down with a dragqueen as the evil bitch and a very funny private detective who tries to figure out what's going on behind her back. Actually it's filmed in very good locations which makes it all even more absurd, imagine dragqueens having tea in a hotelsuite while trying to reach world-domination...yes this pretty much sums it up!. Actually it's a little bit like Fassbinder with it's alluring amateurish charm..
