I saw this movie because my friends wanted to see a "fun" movie. "Evan" did not deliver. It was so stupid that I left with a throbbing headache and the suspicion that I'd done more brain damage than I could with a night of heavy drinking. Stupid dancing and fecal matter passed for running gags in this tripe. Half the ideas and plots were witlessly recycled from vastly superior films. And at the end of the day, the entire plot made no sense, even in a mystical, mysterious context. I thought I'd be glad to support Steve Carell's box office cred, but I had no idea what inanity I'd be supporting. Everyone involved, especially Carell, should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves and do penance. As should I, really, for going against my instinct and giving this rubbish a chance.
