Pulp (1972)
7/10
this is not another GET CARTER but is fine all by itself

Warning: Spoilers
Granted this comedy, mystery, spoof was not as good as Mike Hodges GET CARTER. This is a 1972 movie that has STARS of the past in it & is an early MICHAEL CAINE film, showing why he is still a star of the first magnitude these 35 years later.

Co-starring are a few stars of prior years MICKEY ROONEY & LIONEL STANDER who have been making films since the 1930's & the mighty Mickey is still active. On the distaff side we have LIZABETH SCOTT a beauty from the late 40's. Even tho their roles are short, they still shine. They had FACES then.

Another asset to this film is that It was filmed on the ancient island of MALTA. The scenery is great.

There is some violence, but very tame as compared to today. This is a film for the family.

The kind of movie that is just good & you will feel good afterward,
