Warning: Spoilers
This is an incredible show. Anyone that ponders "how would I do this or that if I were stuck on a desert island" will get a kick out of it. In one episode, they make a camera using only things they find around the island, plus a few minor things they have with them. One person goes snorkeling for kelp that has Iodine in it naturally, one person sacrifices her silver bracelet, and one opens up a Walkman to take the batteries. They use electrolysis to dissolve the silver in the boiled Iodine solution to make silver iodide, which is a light-sensitive material. The camera barely works, but heck, it's still cool. It's science in the real world. Hard to find if you want to buy, but you can find it at The Open University which it is officially published through.
