A cute light-hearted sequel, but didn't bring anything new to the table.

Reese Witherspoon once again plays Elle Woods, possibly the sweetest and most innocent lawyer in the world, and does another decent job. Hopefully, Witherspoon won't degrade herself by making another sequel to this franchise, because this one proved to be a step below the original. Granted, this was some pretty entertaining stuff that was often times over the top, but at least it was still pretty sweet and innocent. Nevermind the dark political undertones (which are really subtle), but this was one of those chick flicks I could actually stomach. Silly, and sometimes pretentious, at least this film wasn't about some overly sappy love story that seems to encompass the very idea of chick flick.
