I'm confused. These people have the same name as the characters in the first two movies, but they don't have all that money and not nearly as many kids. And French Stewart was better in 'Third Rock.' But if you forget all that and rate this movie on its own merits, it's fun at times. Certainly there was no nonstop thrill ride in this one; the fun moments are there but don't last long enough. And this movie isn't as predictable as you think it will be. I'm not hard to please; it was certainly more enjoyable for me than some highly praised movies, and the fun moments were scattered throughout the movie, while the first 'Home Alone' was kind of boring in the middle but still well-done.
