This is one of a very few movies where the acting was so believable that I was scared. The serial killer listens to fear confessions on a radio talk show and then fulfills their fears!
The acting made this movie! Where other horror movies rely on makeup or special effects to create scary scenes, the acting especially by the lead who played the serial killer made me afraid! American Nightmare is a perfect example of how you don't need special effects to create a scary movie, just great actors and a great story!
