Dad's Week Off (1997 TV Movie)
You'll be laughing all 'week'
28 May 2001
NATIONAL LAMPOON'S DAD'S WEEK OFF is the funniest made-for-cable movie about a computer salesman named Jack [Henry Winkler of THE WATERBOY and LITTLE NICKY] who decides he needs some time off so his family leaves him alone at the house for a week. His week starts to be relaxing until all that changes when his work buddy named Bernie [Richard Jeni of THE MASK] comes for a little visit. Henry Winkler in funny, but it is Richard Jeni who gives the better comedic performance as his annoying [and hilarious] partner. This made-for-cable movie is funnier than most movies that have theatrical releases. I'm glad Paramount Pictures put NATIONAL LAMPOON'S DAD'S WEEK OFF available on video. I wish Paramount Pictures would also put it on DVD though. This is truly the best NATIONAL LAMPOON in the whole series.
