Review of Legal Eagles

Legal Eagles (1986)
6/10
Too lightweight for Redford
13 May 2001
The role of Tom Logan in Legal Eagles is something I could picture Matthew Perry doing, or Michael J. Fox, but it seems too lightweight for Robert Redford. Not that Redford shouldn't do comedy, but formulaic, feel-good, forgettable semi-serious movies like Legal Eagles aren't something he normally choses to do. (Although I could name another: Indecent Proposal.)

For what it is, the movie is well done. But what it is isn't worth the trouble of watching except to learn that it isn't worth watching, or to note how much younger familiar actors were in 1986.
