Here is the film that inspired Alien. Creature stows away on ship. Begins killing off crew members. Even hides in the ships air vents!!! In fact there is a truly frightening scene where crew members try to find and do battle with the creature in the air vents.
Unfortunately the tiny budget of the film shows itself and makes the whole affair harder to believe than it otherwise would be. The monster suit is not effective. At times you can see what appears to be it's zipper.
Since Paul Blaisdell designed the monster suit, I will assume the fault of how poorly the monster suit looks in the film is the fault of the producer or director. Perhaps the suit was designed for a different sized stuntman than the one who winds up wearing it.
This is none-the less the near excellent dated film that inspired Alien.
