Once upon a time, Dance Moms was one of the biggest hits on cable TV.
Now, Lifetime is attempting to capitalize on its success with a reunion special set to air in 2014.
Airing from 2011-2019, the hit series focused on Abby Lee Miller as she ran her Abby Lee Dance Company.
That entailed her coaching a team as they learned their dances and competed in tournaments.
The series' success probably stemmed from the drama between Miller and the contestants' parents.
If you watch Dance Moms online, you know what we mean: Abby had countless spats with the parents throughout the show's eight-season run.
Much of the arguments ranged from Abby's treatment of the children to parents being displeased about creative choices from Abby.
It was a lot, and now, it's time for some of the show's most famous faces to return and unpack all of that drama.

In an episode called “Melissa’s Announcement,” Gisoni broke the news to the team. With eight seasons and 224 episodes, there is no shortage of content for Dance Moms fans to enjoy. Though the show officially ended years ago, it still has a pretty impressive viewership. Lifetime (the network that the show is home to) often airs reruns of the dance competition show. Furthermore, since most seasons of the show are currently streaming on Hulu, Dance Moms is frequently finding new audiences. However, even diehard fans may have trouble tracking down one specific episode. Season 2, Episode 9 is nearly impossible for fans to watch legally.

It’s been nearly four years since Dance Moms officially ended. Lifetime officially canceled plans for season 9 in 2020, when Abby Lee Miller was accused of racism. However, that hasn’t stopped Miller from teasing that the show could possibly find a home on a new network. Of course, we’d argue that Miller doesn’t have the clout to make that call, as Lifetime likely owns all the rights to the show. But just what is Miller up to in 2023, besides making claims about her return to reality TV?

Famous Birthdays wants to be more than just the Wikipedia for the young social media set -- an online database comprising birthdays and interesting factoids about the world’s buzziest influencers.
Today, the company launched a video platform that has been in the works since the beginning of the year. Founder Evan Britton tells Tubefilter that Famous Birthdays’ video efforts will function with the same philosophy as its flagship site: users will determine which celebrities are trending via searches and on-site voting (known as ‘boosting’), and the company will create videos with top-trending personalities. The clips -- all unscripted -- will fall into five categories: Q&As, games and challenges, event coverage, performances, and birthday-themed content.
Given that Famous Birthdays’ audience tends to skew toward Gen Z, Britton says that it has invited several tween influencers to its Santa Monica offices over the past few months to shoot original content.

The 2018 Teen Choice Awards saw unprecedented celebrity mashups, gigantic bed frames, and plenty of psychedelic surfboards during Sunday’s telecast. “Love, Simon” won comedy movie, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard took home prizes for summer movie actor and actress, Khalid and Meghan Trainor performed — but you saw all of that on TV. Here’s what the cameras didn’t capture inside the Forum in Inglewood, Los Angeles.

Disney Channel alumna Sabrina Carpenter helped introduce fellow singer-songwriter Trainor on-camera from the teen pit. But during Trainor’s turn to perform, Carpenter continued her support off-camera on her way to exit the crowd, bopping and clapping along as Trainor sang her single “No Excuses.”

Dance superstar Maddie Ziegler has even more reason to celebrate the first of every January. New Year's Day happens to be her anniversary with boyfriend Jack Kelly! And she seems thrilled this Aussie dude has danced into her life, to say the least. As far as the Internet can tell, Jack is Maddie's first real relationship. Granted, Who's Dated Who does say Maddie had an "encounter" with Dance Moms co-star Gino Cosculluela, but that was probably the kiss we witnessed on the Lifetime show. Anyway, Maddie and Jack celebrated their one-year anniversary this Jan. 1. Maddie marked the joyous occasion on Instagram, writing, "2018! Today is such a special day for us. It's been one year with the most amazing boy I've ever met. We've grown so much together, and I'm so thankful for all of the laughs and smiles together! … I've never been so happy. Sister, sister! Maddie Ziegler and her sister Mackenzie Ziegler look a lot alike, but there is one feature the former Dance Mom's star would love to steal from her younger sister. "I would definitely say her lips. I know that's kind of weird, but she has very juicy and scrumptious lips and a lot of people pay money to get those lips," Maddie said during a Q&A with fans on her YouTube channel. "So she's just blessed with the best, you know? No, but honestly, I just wish I had Mackenzie's face just because she's perfect," Maddie added. "I love her to death and I would love to look like her when I'm older." A post shared by maddie (@maddieziegler) on May 7, 2018 at 5:00pm Pdt It's not incredibly shocking that Maddie would want bigger lips, either. A plump pout is totally in, thanks to Kylie Jenner. What a beautiful tribute. Earlier this week, Life & Style reported that Dance Moms alum Abby Lee Miller was diagnosed with Burkitt’s lymphoma— a form of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma — after being hospitalized for paralysis of the neck down. As expected, her fans and loved ones — including Sarah Hunt and her mother, Christy Hunt — are doing whatever they can to support her. The mother-daughter duo exclusively opened up to Life & Style about how the Abby Lee Dance Company elite competition team paid tribute to the former instructor at a recent competition. While competing in Pittsburgh over the weekend, the 12-year-old and her teammates — Maddie, 14, Erica, 16, Alaina, 12, and Christina, 14 — "proudly danced together wearing #AbbysArmy Ribbons" and dedicated "their entire competition to the Aldc and Miss Abby’s fight against Burkitt’s lymphoma," Christy and Sarah told Life & Style. The girls placed first overall in the Teen Division under the direction of Miss Abby and Gianna Martello.

Who doesn't miss watching Chloe Lukasiak and Maddie Ziegler on Dance Moms? While both gals achieved stardom off of the Lifetime series, their time as Aldc members is what fans always come back to. "I see Maddie at events. I'm still close with Brooke and Paige and I talk to Nia," Chloe previously told Life & Style. "I think we're all still pretty close — just the way our lives and careers are all going, it's all different directions. We try to hang out with each other as much as we can, but it's a little bit hard when there's eight of us all going in completely different directions. When you go through an experience like that, it kind of just builds like, really stable friendships because we were leaning on each other during those times."
