One of the highest rated action thrillers in the repertoire of Gerard Butler is now available to stream for free. Butler has become synonymous with the action movie genre thanks to roles in the likes of Olympus Has Fallen and its sequels, the crime thriller Den of Thieves, Plane, Greenland, 300, and more. But one of his lesser-known forays into the explosive world of action is also one of his most critically acclaimed, and you can now watch it for nothing.

Titled Copshop, the action thriller was released back in 2021, and stars Butler alongside another action icon, Frank Grillo, as well as Alexis Louder, Toby Huss, and Chad Coleman. The movie is now available to stream via Amazon Freevee, and finds Butlers hitman tracking Grillos mysterious con artist to a small town, where they find themselves in jail alongside each other. Vertical has released the first trailer for its upcoming supernatural horror film “The Exorcism,” starring Russell Crowe and Ryan Simpkins.

According to the official logline, “The Exorcism” follows Crowe as “Anthony Miller, a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter, Lee (Simpkins), wonders if he’s slipping back into his past addictions or if there’s something more sinister at play.”

A couple days ago, Vertical announced that they will be giving the horror film The Exorcism (formerly known as The Georgetown Project), which stars Russell Crowe, a North American theatrical release on June 7th, with the streaming rights going to Shudder. Now the Motion Picture Association ratings board has revealed that they have given The Exorcism an R rating – and we’ve learned that the film’s trailer will be dropping online tomorrow!

The Exorcism has been rated R for language, some violent content, sexual references and brief drug use. This isn’t the first time the movie has been given an R rating, as it was previously given an R for the exact same reasons last June, when it was still going by the title The Georgetown Project.

It is probably no accident that Apple has chosen this week to launch its own legendary toy biopic, The Beanie Bubble, in the shadow of Warner Bros’ about-to-be blockbuster Barbie. It can only benefit from the obvious connections and themes of female empowerment bubbling under the surface of both.

The latest in a Hollywood trend of 2023 movie releases focusing on origin stories of products, it proves there is fertile creative ground in these movies as each of them so far has much to recommend. This one, a feature directorial debut for the husband-and-wife team of Damian Kulash Jr and Kristin Gore (the latter also writing the screenplay), is a razor-sharp look at the Beanie Baby phenomenon of the 1990s, but one more interested in the relationships of the people behind it as much as the rise and fall of the lovable plush toys themselves.

Plot: Why did the world suddenly treat stuffed animals like gold? Ty Warner was a frustrated toy salesman until his collaboration with three women grew his masterstroke of an idea into the biggest toy craze in history. “The Beanie Bubble” is an inventive story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names didn’t appear on the heart-shaped tag.

Review: Everyone likely knows what a Beanie Baby is. The tiny plush toys were an insane fad in the 1990s, predating Crypto and NFTs by decades. But, unlike many fads, Beanie Babies became a lucrative financial market during the early days of the World Wide Web and marketplaces like eBay. While the crash reduced toys valued at thousands of dollars to just pennies, the toy’s creator, Ty Warner, remained a multi-millionaire. Despite a felony tax conviction, Warner remains extremely wealthy thanks to his revolutionized plush idea.

New images for The Beanie Bubble have been revealed, giving off nostalgia from the 1990s Beanie Babies craze. The upcoming comedy film stars comedians Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games and Pitch Perfect series), Zach Galifianakis (The Hangover trilogy), Sarah Snook (Succession), and Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers). Based on the 2015 book The Great Beanie Baby Bubble: Mass Delusion and the Dark Side of Cute The Beanie Bubble by Zac Bissonnette, The Beanie Bubble will focus on the relationship between Warner and the three women who were instrumental in helping him achieve his vision.

There will not be a third season of Raising Dion. Series star Sammi Haney, who played Esperanza on the Michael B. Jordan-produced superhero drama, revealed the news Tuesday on Instagram and it was confirmed by Netflix.

“Sad to say that Raising Dion is Canceled [sic], Haney wrote. “Thank you for all of the amazing support we got from all of our wonderful fans! Season 2 was a success, equal to Season 1, even if just looking at how many people watched all of it and wanted a season 3!”

Based on the comic book by Dennis Liu, Raising Dion followed the story of Nicole (Alisha Wainwright) and her son Dion (Young) after Dion starts to manifest several mysterious, superhero-like abilities. Two years after defeating the Crooked Man (Jason Ritter), Season 2 follows Dion as he continues honing his powers with the support of his mom and Tevin (Rome Flynn), his Biona trainer who catches Nicole’s eye.

Paramount Plus announced that the animated series “Big Nate” will debut early next year. The series is from Nickelodeon Animation Studio and is based on the children’s books and comic strip written and drawn by Lincoln Peirce.

The 26-episode series follows Nate, an 11-year-old boy, and his best friends as they navigate sixth grade, dealing with disasters at home and detention at school, and using cartoons and drawing to express himself along the way.
