- Ex-Football player who has played in over 600 games appearing for Sunderland, Derby County, Everton, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest, Oxford United, Vancouver Whitecaps and Luton Town over a 20 year period. He was chosen by many players as their toughest opponent during his career and was amongst the best England defenders of the 1960's and 1970's
- Has two sons called Steven and Andy, the latter of which plays currently for Blackburn Rovers and has also played under his father during his time at Bolton Wanderers and Middlesbrough.

- Released his autobiography "Toddy - The Colin Todd Story" in the summer of 2008 and visited a number of his former clubs to promote the book.
