This is Not a Snapshot in Time - my most defining personal favorites: films that are enriching to watch and think about at any stage of my life (so far)

This IS a snapshot, obviously, but with this list I want to stretch the exposure time of this snapshot to an as long a time period as my brief human existence in this realm allows for. No favorites that are "flukes".
Meaning, that these are universally enriching films throughout my life and if I had to define myself as an ego-person-whatever by throwing out a list of film titles, well, then this might be the one. There are no guarantees that if I watched any of them tomorrow I wouldn't conclude that they have become worthless to my life, but I don't expect that any of them will.
Consequently any film on this list I have seen at least twice. Many of them I have seen lots of times. So it's also a little bit of a most-often watched films list, but this is by no means the primary criteria.
They might also "just" be hella enjoyable without fail.
A personal favorite often means that it was the right film seen at the right time. But not these films. They are always good to me.
