Better than Pretty Little Liars' pilot.

As much as I love PLL and its iconic Pilot, The Perfectionists is just way better.

Marlene killed everything with this pilot!

I love PLL as my undeniable love life, specially because it was the first show that got me into this TV Shows World, but I have to admit it. Marlene killed everything with this pilot. I loved the pilot episode from PLL, it got everything I loved, mystery, drama, secrets and characters impossible not to love, but The Perfectionists pilot episode just blown me away. It has everything it needs to success, intriguing characters, secrets, drama, death and so much story to tell. Marlene found a way to, in 2019, tell a story that many may think it's old and cliché and turned in something new, and that's when you know a writer/director is talented. To me, as in 2019, there's no stories that haven't been told already, leaving the writers and directors to be able to change what we think we know, twisting clichés, creating characters that are way more than they appear and specially bringing new points of view. Without a doubt, The Perfectionists will be that show, bringing new perspectives to light, showings us that we may know all the stories, but we don't know every perspectives about it

An 'okay' job for a pilot

The first few seasons of PLL were very interesting and since this is some kind of continuation to the original I was a little dissappointed. The end of the episode was intriguing but the rest of it - nothing special, the acting should have been a little better, the characters - more misterious and definitely more unique. These days I feel like I'm watching the same types of characters in different series, they only look a little different and that's about it. At least Mona is present. I expected more.

[6.5] Nothing remotely perfect

An insipid pilot with unconvincing acting, besides Mona, and far-fetched storyline plots. The ending is such an imbroglio that it's mesmerizing in a bad way. Doubt that it would develop properly.

Well they tried

I'm a big fan of PPL but this was disappointing. Classic Mona standing there with a knife and pie was the only reason i gave it a 5. The original had a more enjoyable and engaging pilot. Maybe it gets better and will surpass the original. However i doubt it.

Garbage

How do people enjoy shows like this? Forced dialogue, predictable plot, terrible character development and softcore porn. Dreading my wife forcing me to watch this excuse for television.
