Sex & Nudity

  • No sex or nudity. But there are jokes of a sexual nature shared between soldiers on different occasions of the film.

Violence & Gore

  • Although an independent film available only online, The Fallen fits in with most other war films both fiction and nonfiction, with its intense scenes of war violence. By television standards, The Fallen might qualify between TV-14 and TV-MA. Combat scenes include intense gunfire and explosions. Most all casualties human and alien receive bloody wounds and at least one soldier is fatally shot in the head.
  • A human marine stitches a large, bloody cut on his arm. For the duration of the film, his arm is seen wrapped in a white bandage with a large visible blood stain on the dressing.
  • A critically wounded human pilot is seen lying on the ground. There are wounds on her head and neck and appears to be slowly dying from more severe injuries.
  • A marine is caught in an enormous fire explosion. Non-graphic.
  • A marine's head explodes from a shot fired from an alien laser-gun. 1-second clip of blood. Barely noticeable.
  • A marine is shot while ordering a charge. He is seen lying on the ground with blood seeping from his mouth. Brief.

Profanity

  • Several uses of the F-word early on. Tones down to mostly PG-13/TV-14 language as the film progresses.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A marine takes a cigarette out of his pocket, but does not light it.
