Cultural Phenomenon!
2 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I don't remember the last time I saw a superhero show that actually represented black culture and an empowered way since static shock. It definitely deserves more attention, it's a breath of fresh air concerning animation, storytelling, superhero genre as a whole. Here we have the show that it's not afraid to talk about like issues like self-love, our hair, music (which btw, the music in this show is amazing!), and more.

This show does a great job at balancing the action with the slice of life aspect, something I haven't seen done in this way since Nickelodeon's "Danny Phantom". There's something in this show for all ages (it can go from super silly to dramatic but also handle serious topics like panic attacks and even PTSD) and I love the representation it gives to the black community. It's refreshing to see a teenage nerd superhero! Something as a black female of color I did not see! Bravo Disney! Please don't cancel this one!
