Oh dear lord what did i just watch. Where do i start. Some how i managed to sit through this entire car crash of a movie, mostly to see just how bad it got and although it was only 100 mins it felt like 12 hours.
The story, if you can call it that, is about an annoying family in a car for a week. Their destination reaches with 8 mins left and that journey felt longer for me then it even did the characters.
AS for the cast, most of them were incredibly annoying. We have a moronic waste of space Dad, who channels his best Ben Stiller, but makes Stiller seem like Lawrence Olivier and a wife that wouldn't look twice at such a twit as him. We have the most irritating brat of a child i've ever seen, who could do with a good slap and Chris Hemsworth who adds nothing to the film except his fake Texan accent, why he agreed to appear in this i have no idea.
However the worst part of the film is the writing. First off, why do the script writers think we want to hear people cursing ever second. They also to think making rude sexual jokes and swearing all the time is controversially funny, but it isn't, it's annoying and terrible writing, it shows their lack of talent in their field. Also making the kid constantly swear and say sexual things is not only unfunny and old very quickly, i also think it's a little unfair to the child actor who shouldn't have to be subjected to it.
Lastly when i saw the mother throwing up for several mins, i knew, this was one of the worst movies i've ever seen. Utter shambles.
