I would love this show but for.....

Warning: Spoilers
The fact that it is extremely tediously formulaic: The same things are repeated over and over again in each episode like the audience only has a memory span of a minute and a half The agents never find what the house seekers are actually looking for The couples never agree on what they want (that is part of the tedious formula) The couples often seem pretty obnoxious and come off in a very negative light as whiny North Americans. I suspect they are coached to do the complaining.

One of three properties is always picked; why do they have to actually pick one of the properties that never seems right? Why can't they say that none of them fit the bill? (Based on the criteria they purport to have anyway.)

All in all I have found every episode frustrating and unsatisfying to watch. I live and travel in Europe, and am very interested in seeing houses in different locations, and I believe this show could be very very good, but instead it is in some ways lazy and annoying and seems clearly designed to NOT give the people what they want. (Well, I say what they want, but every episode shows the couples wanting opposite things in a property.) It beggars belief that every couple on the show has not decided on basic criteria for a home prior to such a big move, yet every single episode shows them in disagreement. It also beggars belief that the agents in the cities abroad can never find homes on budget that are a better overall fit for the people moving. I cannot buy that, it appears that they are instructed to only find homes partially fitting the criteria, thus forcing the house hunters into the least bad choice. I feel that the producers of the show don't care that the house hunters get the best house they can and that they think we are stupid. I watch to see the different locations and properties but struggle to endure the rest.
