Review of 1 Night

1 Night (I) (2016)
10/10
Candid, Charming and Quirky
20 February 2017
Candid, charming and quirky is the simplest way to describe 1Night. I was left impressed with the talent of the cast and the relatable topics portrayed in this film. Though I've always been a fan of romantic films, it has given me a new-found respect due to the depth and the contrast between the stories of the couples.    This romantic drama follows two couples who share one night together, and have very different experiences. The young couple, Bea (Isabelle Fuhrman) and Andy (Kyle Allen), are exploring what it takes to make a relationship, while the older couple, Elizabeth (Anna Camp) and Drew (Justin Chatwin), try to discover what it takes to make a relationship last.    Camp and Chatwin's performances stood out the most to me. Though I am always impressed with their performances they brought something new that I haven't seen before. Camp proves that she can go deeper than singing covers of songs like in Pitch Perfect and Chatwin shows that he is more than just a disposable character like in Shameless. The film keeps you entertained till the end and gives an unexpected plot twist that makes it unlike most romantic dramas.
