I am an ardent follower of crime thriller. I started watching British crime series recently and I am loving it. I wanted to make a brief note here that in this particular genre the British ones really stand out. This series is however something especial. Not only does it excel in the basic story telling but it does so in a very simplistic and elegant manner. In my comparison Endeavour is as good as Sherlock (BBC), a little less glamour. The character of Morse is brilliantly built up and combines the intricacy of his deep analytical mind with simplicity of his true self. The actors have done a decent job but the highlight of the plots is that the episode begins from a number of directions, few non-related characters and story line which at the end add up to one plot. I hope the series continue in similar lines. Cheers !
