Best thing about this movie was...
14 March 2023
Michael Greyeyes was the only reason I watched this movie. The premise was really kind of a dumb one - 14 year olds, really? ...come on. But Michael sure did look great!!

I really love watching anything Michael Greyeyes is in even if he's not playing a wild Native American !!! I barely recognized Jennifer Jason Leigh and Drew Barrymore has aged - I was surprised and this movie is already 22 years old - I can't imagine what she looks like now - she's pretty and has been around forever and we all love her, really we do. All in all this movie was worth watching just for the hunk experience of Greyeyes.

Tom Hanks Vehicle - neither good nor bad but often with flaws
23 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Good Tom Hanks film, he's getting older and plays an older man well. And I'm so glad Trans/LGBTQ is into the main stream. People want to see this because it's a normal thing. Thank you! The movie plot was just so-so and the acting and directing could have been better plus there were flaws - a woman THAT pregnant does not travel. The ending was bittersweet but no surprises in this movie - some flashbacks to when they were young and there could have been a more convincing young Otto and we have no idea what old Sonya was like except a brief look at an older woman's hand. This film was neither good nor bad - but was enjoyable and entertaining if often very predictable but maybe that's what the writer/director/producers were going for.

And Just Like That...: Seeing the Light (2022)
Season 1, Episode 10
8/10
Interested to see what happens next
12 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wow everybody hates Che - I don't "LOVE" her but I find her very interesting. I'm a straight female btw. Her lounge singing act was hilarious and she really had Miranda jumping when she yelled. She was a good podcast leader. Miranda always seems so confused and needy. The fashions are great - except that scene in Paris - Carrie looked like a pumpkin doing the dishes with her pink gloves - hated it. And the ashes didn't go in the water - they all flew on the metal parts. But everything else the cast wore was fabulous. I love the diversity of this new series - something the original was sorely lacking. The downstairs neighbor is there to show just how cool Carrie still is. I liked her but glad she threw her cheating bf out. I could have done without seeing Evan Handlers junk though - yuk! However, the kids are horrible - either get them out or have them behave better - the disrespect from these entitled brats is the worst I've ever seen. Lilly is somewhat cool, although demanding and simple, but the other two - good grief - they obviously have never been disciplined. Do you have them behave this way just to have someone(s) to hate? That's the part that threw me - these are decent, professional people with good upbringing and their kids obviously have never been taught how to act toward anyone - selfish and bratty - I can't stand Rock or Brady - they both disgust me.

And Just LIke That - the ladies are OLD looking
6 January 2022
I am and always will be a SATC aficionado. I am watching this new series and I really want to like this new show. It's just that the ladies are old now - Carrie's face got even longer, Miranda with grey.white.blond hair (I'm not quite sure) and she always seems so confused about anything. Charlotte is the happy go lucky everything is fine and Carrie is entitled - which doesn't look very good on her at all. Not only does her stern face look horrible, who the heck is she?...but whatever. They are trying so hard to be more diverse which is great - I love that factor because it was kinda lacking in SATC except for Blair Underwood... and the only Asians were food delivery persons. The acting is a bit over the top - especially Miranda - trying so hard to be likeable - hey just be Miranda - Ep 4 was a bit disturbing...but I will continue on! The plot thickens.... Added: The kids are horrible brats - why? Why not make them likeable. Lilly is ridiculous, Brady is just creepy and Rock is so confused - they are ALL unlikeable.

The unseen character is...
21 March 2021
This movie could have any delivery vehicle. Pool happens to be this one's. Jackie Gleason is superb, although his role seemed more of a "moving prop" than an actual supporting role. But he did come across as having that unseen character - Integrity! Neither Fast Eddie, Charlie, Sarah or Bert had any, They all had ulterior motives (don't we all) - Eddie wanted Respect, Bert wanted Money, Sarah wanted Love, Charlie wanted Security. All Minnesota Fats wanted was himself. Secure in the fact he was "someone" that didn't have to prove a GD thing. The others threw their integrity, pride and self reflection out the many windows in their lives years ago. The movie practically wrote itself and ended as predicted (no spoilers) but the Actors are what make this movie great.
