Borderline (2008)
The borderline between steady and erratic.
First off, you better not watch this film; you're just kinda going to waste your time like I was waiting for the end because I knew this movie didn't have much to offer; it tries so hard to be different, but I don't understand the moral of the story. This film is nothing more than another "unstable family" that raises a young girl incorrectly, and as a result she becomes an emotionless human being who is lost and looking for love. I find it to be a complex film full of psychological hints, but I can't bother to understand much because honestly, it was boring for me personally. I slept two times while watching this film. Should you look for another movie to watch for the night! Oh, yes, that's for sure.
Cam (2018)
Some guys crave weird shows, and some girls live for them.
It is an identity theft kind of movie, but in a fantasy way, it doesn't make any sense. Nevertheless, it was still a gripping film. It also somewhat tackles the online perverts and psychos that take advantage of the "lost girls," who are driven by money and obsessed with attention to the point that it becomes a competition to see who can get to the top by any means, even if it is filthy, which make these girls, besides being shallow and artificial, vulnerable to danger.
It also how crazy the internet nowadays.
Some people complain about the ending of the film, but I see that they didn't get the movie.
Sorry We Missed You (2019)
I'm sorry for all the poor dads out there.
Movies can't get any more dramatic than this. It's just a blatant real-life tragic drama type of movie; it's about how tough life is for the majority of regular Joe schmoes in the world and how it can be so stressful for some fathers trying to put their shattered family back together, which is made even more difficult when they have such a nonchalant, spoiled offspring. This was woeful, but not awful. It also sheds light on how cold and cruel companies and employers can be; generally, the movie gives off a gloomy vibe that is full of disheartening events. Your view on starting a new family will change after watching this; I guarantee you that.
The Voices (2014)
The voices are the enemy
The movie is a manifestation that disclose the struggle of the mentally ill people, particularly the schizophrenics.
I'd say that Ryan Reynolds does the eccentric, weird character superbly, I have seen him do other cranky characters like in deadpool but this one is so different. One of the messages i got from the movie is that sometimes people are just don't want to be awake and conscious they wanna run from reality, people like to be in their fantacy world because world is can be very cruel place for a lot of people especially when you feel lonely. This movie leaves the door for interpretations and analysis, it is a thought provoking. This is (you don't know whether to laugh or to cry type of film) one that I recommend you to watch.
Midsommar (2019)
HOW TO BE A PAGEANTRY PHOBIC.
First of all this film is not for the faint hearted ones. Secondly it is not for the casual horror flicks viewers because the will find it confusing and sort of vague. For those who claim that the movie was not horror they had an erroneous labeling. I would classify it as a psychological horror it was full of figurative allusions. But i repeat for the ordinary scary movies fans this is not for this is only for the weirdos who like anomalous movies' plots.
Das Leben der Anderen (2006)
The life of a good man
I warn that this film is super boring in the beginning, especially if you don't know German language but if you hang on tight you will be taught a considerable lesson in morals and magnanimity. To put it in a nutshell, this movie is the interpretation of the famous saying "All that is gold does not glitter"
The Reader (2008)
What are morals and laws when it's not the truth
This movie won't.cease to.boggle your mind. It will make you change your whole perspective about morals in life, and will definitely grant you a deeper insightful way of judging on people and situations.
Possessor (2020)
How you can be possessed by aother human
This is crazy, different and scary film the concept of being possessed by another human technologically is bizarre. The movie was kinda messy and the distorted sounds made it even creepier. Go ahead and watch it if you want to get creeped out.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017)
The metaphysical revenge.
This is a strange piece of art and it is for sure for very few people to enjoy, more of a supernatural and paranormal events kind of movie. It is so much different and weird, mostly because of the boldness such as asking awkward questions or saying cringy things , and the somber sound effects made it even more creepy. Overall it wasn't bad nor perfect don't expect more than little weirdness and supernatural power show.
The Father (2020)
How it is when you completely lose your mind.
It is a different kind of ride that this movie takes you on, to see the perspective of demented father and the pain and struggle he had to go through everyday it makes you feel quite confused and not sure, at the same time gives you a deeper gaze at the atmosphere of such a house that has the same case. It is so dramatic and a real life situation that you may be put through someday which is pretty darn scary.
Upgrade (2018)
this is an upgraded sci fi film
This must be the best film made in 2018 for people who are interested in artificial intelligence or modern technology this will quite amuse them and get their liking but generally this is for anyone. Most of the thriller enthusiasts will find this amazing got that twisting ending and considered to be a gem.
Soul (2020)
Didn't live up to the hype for me
This wasn't an easy watch, because the whole time i was waiting for that exciting move. Or that clever change of events but all of that didn't happen it was mostly jazz and BS in my opinion. I'm not into jazz nor BS kind of movies nothing special was here i think this is your casual animated science fiction trying hard to be different, but it failed. And for the record i felt sleep three times which give you a hint of how lame this was.
We Are What We Are (2013)
They are cannibals that what they are.
To make a long story short the movie was lame as the word can get but the ending was really unexpected and strange but after some pondering i believe it still won't get more than six out of ten rating that's "THAT'S WHAT IT DESERVES" generally it wasn't that much creative if it wasn't for the ending the movie with be four.
Never Rarely Sometimes Always (2020)
This movie's never joyful rarely funny sometimes interesting always gloomy.
With all of the drama and.dullness.of the movie still can't say it was bad. It sheds the light on a very common.issue of our society which is sexual harassment and.exploiting girls' weakness for sexual desires by men or you can call them predators, so, it is really the vibe you expect from a film with this kind of serious topic.
El hoyo (2019)
It is deeper than the platform
This is an amazing movie don't believe the critics, yes the end might be a tiny bit frustrating, but the overall it's a really good profound film that portrays the selfishness of human kind and the possibility of our (humans) spontaneous sense of solidarity which the director proved/illustrated it won't happen like that. someone has to step out of the herd and lead by power and intimidation the producer really has a point and I agree with his realistic point of you finally i tell go watch it you will not be the same after watching this.
Love Actually (2003)
Where is the love? actually there's none.
I feel bad watching the whole movie because it wasn't worth the two hours really i laughed at some parts, but most of it was awkward not laughable i think it's rather ludicrous than hilarious, that's the most accurate description i can put for you. i felt like they tried so hard to be funny but they failed miserably so please don't watch the whole thing if you appreciate your time.
Gin gwai (2002)
My eye was not impressed.
As you can see from the title my peepers weren't dazzled at all on the contrary i was bored most of the time if you mute the movie it will be a disaster I promise you. The beginning was sort of a promising one, but the rest of the movie is nothing new it might've been a great film for 2002 period but now there's no way this film can gain your liking, maybe it's my opinion but you can go head and try and waste your time, chum.
Ôdishon (1999)
When audition goes wrong
This has to be one of the most horrifying films out there. it takes you on a uncomfortably disturbing ride. I couldn't fully comprehend the character of the girl Asami and who she really is and her reality, however it was a breathtaking plot. it made me attain a conviction that Japanese people or rather should i say their directors are the craziest when it comes to creepy movies' ideas, they can't fail to entertain the viewers that must come from a really dark place, the movie ended strangely but that didn't effect the ingeniousness of it.
Q (2011)
Watch this If you want a to fall asleep quickly
This was boring for me. it might be an interesting piece for those who haven't watched enough of soft/erotic kind of flicks, but for me this is nothing new nor creative because I couldn't grasp the story gem. sorry but this was a really outrageously lame filming and acting, because honestly nowadays porn companies produce way better scenarios than this and more convincing as well I give this four for the effort.
Bird Box (2018)
The bird box is useless, it won't save you.
The movie is about an invisible beauty, not! The director left the viewers to decide, we don't know for certain what's the nature of these entities is. It is a supernatural horror, mystery film with a little of drama, I believe it is mysterious because it misses a lot of expositions, you can guess and say they are monsters or creature of some kind for instance blackhole livings or something but the truth is unknown.
I rated the film 7 because it's bang average. It has a medium intensity, a little machination and a little entertainment it works just fantastically if you're bored. Overall it was almost forgettable and not exceptional experience with a frustrating ending and some will deem it insulting.
I have regard for the concept, but it could have been better!
The plot is pretty good in theory however, they went wrong and made plain mistakes by making each death expected, predictable and almost set-up.
I can say that the movie is saved from a total disgrace by dint of Sandra Bullock's talent.
Regrettably I feel pretty let down. I wouldn't say it's a bad film the performance cast is great and the premise is fine but all of it is potentially lame.
99 Homes (2014)
Evicting people for living.
Basically, the movie sheds a light on the ruthless system and pitiless courts of the US and how corrupted businessmen and brokers take advantage of that. The flm focuses mainly on the eviction and foreclosing on properties process so much that it makes you feel anxious. The depiction of the dismissal is done well enough to makes you imagine being kicked out of your only house that shelters you and your family the shock of being tossed into the street is impactful. The first half of the film got hold of my attention more than the second half due to the dramatic tension scenes, the last half focuses on unexpected events that follow the eviction of a family consists of three members it is indeed a solid and an exemplary thriller film... Regarding the performance, both stars acted magnificently despite challenging roles. The film will not fail to keep you engaged because of its momentum I think it's a narrative of what happened to the real-estate market when the economic crisis hit in 2008 If you like to see a tense story much drama, this should be your selection. The director did a fantastic job to grab audiences' heed however the ending in some way fell short. The ramifications of the implacable capital system is straying good people like the blue-collar worker "Dennis Nash" into reluctantly doing wrong actions.
La pianiste (2001)
The carnal needs of the pianist.
This is a film with an argumentative topic. A realistic portrayal of emotional conflicts and weird sexual desires that has scenes beyond assumptive standards which indicate that it's a proper one for debate, but the movie wouldn't be as innovative and special if these scenes weren't there. The film builds up slowly and as the movie progresses some unexpected dark sides of the pianist character disclosed in her personality. The outro is seen as discordant to a lot of people, but I'd rather call it ambiguous because there's a correlation between the ending and the pianist odd behavior. Normal people will deem the film as an obscene film; in my opinion you can't call it that since the theme is a taboo to begin with. The movie sheds a light on sexual repression and the realm of Paraphilia and fetishism and how people resort to them to fulfil their perverse fantasies ensured from sexual privation. It is a disturbing movie, especially if the viewer is used to watch the typical romantic movies and not familiar with similar movies they will find it quite shocking Yet, it is a thought-provoking I disagree with people labeling this movie as an adult. Sure, for a few seconds you'll see a part of a porn shots, however, you can't label a two-hours movie based on few second, You have to admire the acting of Isabelle she executed a quite difficult role the movie is suitable for those who become jaded from watching normal romantic films this might satisfy them. Perhaps this is not one of the best romantic movies out there, but certainly an interesting one.
The Favourite (2018)
My favourite unwatchable film
The film is about two women's battle over gaining power and the Queen's fixation using their illimitable astuteness; it wasn't riveting, but it was okay. Lesbianism is a big part of the film that kept me waiting but unfortunately there weren't any intimate scenes that linger long enough. The topic was intricate because I couldn't comprehend anyone's motives the film is filled with ridiculous moments that I don't think are funny in addition to that I think it is too mediocre for an oscar nomination, as for the story it was insipid. To be fair there were some entertaining scenes but overall the film doesn't worth it the acting was the best thing about the movie I reckon Emma performance was enthralling but the storyline is definitely not groundbreaking also the ending wasn't proper.
Nancy (2018)
Whose daughter is Nancy.
This is a dashed gloom. This movie is unlike any drama movie you have watched before, it is a sombre film about desperation and trying to find emotional stability. It is a compelling narration which is full of doubt and dreary atmosphere that might drive you insane I find it emotive in an odd way most of the characters have a grey characteristic with a dullsville vibe this movie is not to be watched when you feeling down because it's going to worsen the situation and make you despondent however, I do recommend it for people who like the emotional rollercoaster movies.
The Midnight Meat Train (2008)
Not the perfect train to take.
Decent gory film that is intriguing all the way through. It's definitely not a masterpiece but not terrible it's about a photographer that delves deeper into his city's subway to find himself tracking ruthless serial killer the film is likable but far from perfect the movie was moving at a reasonable pace and I think the first half was okay the scenes weren't memorable but strangely credible and has its twists it is indeed a highly entertaining flawed film, if that makes sense.
