Fat Love (2015)
3/10
Horrible people
2 January 2023
The feeders on this show like Mark are so disturbing. He doesn't love Gina! He loves her fat and that she satisfies his fetish. Like she said, if she died he'd find another woman immediately. Despite them having a child, he'd immediately bring in a woman for her to call mom. Sick!!!! Poor Gina. I think she finally figured it out after years of marriage. I hope she's still alive, but this was made in 2015. I'd like to get an update. The other women had sad and terrifying stories. It's abuse and they don't realize because it's disguised as loving care. These men make them think it's true love. It's not.

What is happening?
19 December 2022
The creators had no idea what to make of it. Is it a drama series or a freaking documentary?! Pick one! The back and forth constantly is annoying. And it ruins it. I wish it were just a series. The actors are holding their own. I suppose it's the writing that suffers. Could have been better. Netflix is on a roll with period pieces, and this could have been much more popular with viewers had they stuck with what works. People want the drama, sex, love, and betrayal of this part of history. There have been series made before, but none that stick out. It's so disappointing they couldn't figure this out.

Hilarious

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is so wild! Omg I laughed, I cringed, I said wtf pretty often, and decided I had to review this mess. The scene with the maid just about killed me it was so funny. "That sucker got away!" I saw someone talking about it on Tik Tok and thought ok I HAVE to check this out. The special effects are terrible, but spot on for 1983. To me it's so bad it's good. Don't take it too seriously for horror. Maybe if I had seen it as a kid I would be scared. Probably. There's a lot of gore. Every scene of gore is also hilarious, which seems twisted, but true. I cannot believe I didn't find this sooner. It's on Tubi.

Regret is not the same thing.
10 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
These women regret whatever relationship they had with him, and it seems he was having multiple relationships in the same year. Toxic? Yes. Did he force them? It seems not. They didn't say no. They actively participated in his kink. So yes, regret is not the same thing as what they claim. The man is from a notorious family, and I agree the toxicity goes down the line, but I just don't see anyone was forced beyond their will. Is he a narcissist? Probably. At the very least damaged by his upbringing. Not saying he's a victim. This whole thing needs to be re-evaluated. I'm sure if everyone in Hollywood had their texts made public-we'd be even more shocked by their content.

Ugh
5 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This movie made me so ill! It was hard to watch. I hate that Hunter pushed Becky when she was still neck deep in grief. I just hate Hunter in general or anyone in that adrenaline junkie attention w**** group that thinks they're invincible. YouTubers. There are some places you don't need to be for a reason. Dan was a wake up call to be more prepared, and they ignored it. Not enough gear, didn't tell anyone where they'd be, not enough food or water. Geez. It's definitely a horror movie. I felt physically ill through much of it. Dizzy. Stomach in knots. So if that sounds like fun to you then watch. Once I commit to a movie I don't back out, but maybe I should have.

Mixed feelings
1 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I see the side where she was a kid lured and groomed into this relationship, but I also see her as a homewrecker. Has she ever apologized for that? I just don't see most of this story as a predator was after her and she's a victim. After she was 18 she pursued him for years. She ignored any sign he might have been luring other girls-because that would mean she wasn't special. Just one of many girls. Regret is not the same thing as being a victim. Take accountability for your actions above all else. This isn't victim shaming. It's complicated because she chose to have a relationship with him when she was an adult. Her story is not like the other young women featured.

Really enjoying this
26 August 2022
And I thought it was just something to pass the time. The mystery with the abandoned hotel during a hurricane, missing kids, book, married couple, etc. They wrote it well so it works and is all tied in.

This one spooked me!
17 August 2022
The elevator girl... geesh. Normally this show is slightly spooky, but this episode was scary! Real horror. Great episode! I do wish her kids weren't so loud in every scene they're in.

Faye saved lives

These judges wanted to wash their hands and go along with the good old boy league. Protecting pedophiles who were giving kids stds and both physical and mental trauma on a regular basis. It wasn't kidnapping. Makes you wonder why the judges sided with the fathers despite the doctor's testimony and medical records/test results. Maybe some were pedophiles themselves!

It grew on me
15 August 2022
Some things don't make sense. Why does she have so many kids, and an absent husband? Where do these cases come from...? The Catholic Church? A psychologist, priest, and tech guy trio try to investigate the differences between the paranormal and mentally ill. Weekly. There's chemistry between the actors. It's just strange.

Cringey
15 August 2022
Some people use race to advance themselves in life. Rachel is one of those people. She takes it way too far! Hair perms, self tanner, etc. She took cultural appropriation to the final level. Her poor parents have been emotionally abandoned because they remind her she is 100% white. The kids had to deal with the publicity because their mom is dishonest. That's on her! No one else. This woman will never take responsibility for her actions, ever.

Not great
6 August 2022
They made this too boring and easy to predict. Daisy couldn't save this movie. So many details were left out. It was made like a Lifetime movie. The setting was good. I will give it that.

One big ****show in history.
3 August 2022
I remember watching this on mtv at 17 thinking I don't think this is going to go as well as it did in 1994. You can't have this many people in the summer heat for days with $4 water. There was also A LOT of testosterone in the crowds. Too many packs. Lord of the Flies in a way. The organizers were so delusional and out of touch with millennials. People paid a lot to be treated badly with little access to shade, and the basics to stay alive. Woodstock 99 proved you can't recreate a moment in history that was so special and perfect the way it was in 69'.

Kept thinking any minute now this girl will get her **** straight and realize her gift, but it's agony. She's an idiotic brat. Always running away, ignorant, and chasing some mediocre boy.

Season 2 is not great.
28 July 2022
It's so politically driven and most episodes of season 2 are boring. Wtf were they thinking? There's so many interesting stories and public figures from the 90's! I don't wanna hear about UFC for two hours.

Why isn't this in syndication?
25 July 2022
I think it aired on Lifetime when I watched it. I remember a very baby faced Ashley Judd was one of the daughters, and it was a good show. Kind of in the group with 30 Something or Life Goes On. Family shows that had more drama based episodes.

Jemima makes me want to sympathize with Olivia, but you know what's coming .... One evil woman. It's so good! A very dark twisted family tale. I look forward to each episode. It reels you in.

Great remake
12 July 2022
The original was before my time, but the night this premiered I managed to see it. I was 9. So it stuck with me. Finding it streaming some years back was such a flashback! I wish Hulu still had it. This show was overshadowed by Desert Storm breaking news coverage. Them filming in daylight was awful, but I guess they had to. Filming only at night would take months. That's it's only flaw! It's Gothic, moody, romantic, and really a good remake of a classic soap opera.

Aurora is a very unlikable character. Emma ends up being her rock for most of her childhood (and beyond) due to Aurora's obvious personality disorder. But Emma struggles financially and in love because she settled for the wrong man, and she has three kids mixed up in a bad marriage. It's a very complicated mother daughter relationship.

Magical
10 July 2022
They don't make movies like this anymore. It was just incredible. The special effects and makeup team were amazing! They made all these characters come to life. This movie helped shape my childhood since I loved anything magical with unicorns, and mysterious creatures in movies. It has this aesthetic that's so pleasing. Like a fairytale land.

So Kevin has a Tik Tok
8 July 2022
Recently the movie poster was found behind layers of other movie posters in the NY subway. Kevin tried to find it, but it had been covered up in no time. That made me watch the movie because I had never heard of it. NY is a funny place where there's layers of history under the surface.

Heartbreaking

Warning: Spoilers
First, it's a given that Frank was a psychopathic pos rapist and killer. Scum of the earth. I'm almost shaking writing this review. Poor Suzanne. Such a beautiful and intelligent girl, and she really was just a girl. Forced to have three kids by 20, repeatedly raped, abused, and thrown away. She was raised by a monster because of her mother. Who didn't shed a tear when interviewed, nor her father. Megan's adoptive mom pretty much said it all that her grandmother isn't interested in a relationship and couldn't care less. Idc what anyone says, there's something very wrong with both her parents. Things could have gone so differently if her mom hadn't cheated on her dad, if she hadn't chosen the wrong men repeatedly, and if she gave a damn about her kids! Shame on her!!!! It's the main job of any mom to protect her kids. Don't have them around random men you barely know. The dad could have fought harder, but he was washed up by 23. Suzanne had such potential. What a waste.

They crack me up!
6 July 2022
Great family. Of all the historical reality shows in the early 00's they had one of the best families. The nanny making jokes about the fuel warden. Lol Who was her grandson. Everyone seems to pull their weight besides the kids, which is understandable. They were hungry often. I wish BBC still made these shows!

I loved watching this show as a kid. Stopped watching after San Diego. It became boring, and I felt more mature than who they chose to be on the show. I assumed they filmed for 6 months to a year, but it's only a few months and they ask roommates to fight or hook up. What made it cool ended long ago, but the early seasons were good.

Loved it
21 June 2022
These families worked so well together. You could just tell it wasn't forced or fake. The toddler cracked me up! The little blonde boy. He was so funny. Probably almost 17 by now. Time flies! I enjoyed seeing how things worked back then in a poor mining community in Wales. It was very interesting, but also very hard work and harder living.
