Le salaire de la peur (1953)
Bellissimo!
Great film.. The filmwork was on point, great shots throughout.. I can see why this film is studied by film students!
Did feel it dragged on just a little bit.. but regardless.. kept em itnerested throughout. The storyline was different for once, never watched a film with a narrative like so...
Definitely worth a watch, acting was great too. Luigi was a great character!
Thanks
The Third Man (1949)
Interesting concept, abit boring
I respect this film is old so back they had to make the most of the technology they had etc.
This film has an interesting story line that keeps you intrigued for most of it, but I do feel like towards the end it drags a little. Regardless, great acting.. too many cigarrettes though.. like most old films hey!

Rebecca (1940)
Classic romance / drama from the man Hitchcock!
I rate this film 7/10 for a few reasons. Although the film is directed brilliantly, with unique camera techniques and interesting story lines. I can't help but feel that some of the reviews hype the film up a little too much. Regardless, this is still worth a watch and it was pleasure to watch such an old film , proving that you don't need all the production in the world to capture such eye catching moments.
Enjoy!
La passion de Jeanne d'Arc (1928)
Moving, educational and sad
I reccomend watching this with the lord of the rings in the background, I couldn't bare the silence.
Have learnt alot from this film, it really captured the pain of Joan of Arc and shows the shire respect she has for her country.
Do give it a watch if you like you're history.
It Happened One Night (1934)
Oldschool rom com. give it a watch!
If you're into your old films this is a must watch.
Romance, comedy, brilliant acting.
Clark Gable at his finest.
Gone with the Wind (1939)
A must watch!
For the time this film with made it is simply brilliant. Although the film is 4 hours, every scene kept me interested. Maybe its the brilliant acting throughout from Scarllett and her sneaky ways or from Red Butcher and his natural charm.
Can't help but feel that end feels rushed though, which is why this is a 7 not an 8.
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
Don't see the hype
I must admit, I'm not a big political film lover, but I watch every film with an open mind.
Although Capra is a legendary director. This film was simply boring in my opinion. Lacked whittines and there wasnt a single scene that kept me intrigued until the very end.
Positives are that it does bring political corruption to light.
That is all.
The General (1926)
A great film for its time.
The only negative opinions I have about this film are because of its age which I had to keep reminding myself. When you've just watched Guardians of the Galaxy and then moved to this film, its quite the opposite in terms of special FX etc.
But, for its time.. I must say parts of this film were really enjoyable. I appreciate how good it was for the resources they had in 1926, and there was definitely some memorable quotes. "The next time I see you, you better be in uniform".
If you're into your old films.. deffo give it a watch! Although the music loops do get a bit repetitive..
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Fantastic!
Let me start by saying, I LOVED this film. I'm not usually a fan of fantasy/futuristic films but this is up their with one of my favourite films at the moment.
I think part of the reason I feel this way is because although the film has some intense actionsscenes that you would expect from this kind of film.. it also includes alot of light hearted humour. On top of this, I wasn't bored at all, in fact I was intirigued by every scene... the main characters all have their own personas that keep the film interesting.
A MUST watch.
I AM GROOT.
Before Sunset (2004)
Don't understand the hype?
So... I had some big expectation for thisf film due to other peoples ratings.
Although I undertand there's some really memorable romantic quotes in this film, which I must amit does make your heart melt abit.. I can't help but feel that this film was incredibly boring, or maybe I'm just heartless?
Even from an acting perspective, Julie Delpy plays her roles very well but I feel Ethan Hawke seems really fake in it... even though he hasn't seen Julie's character for years so it would be natural to be awkward in it, I just he could've done better.
Mou gaan dou (2002)
A clever film.
I'm rating this film 7, because although the concept is really clever and it fufills all the needs expected from a crime film, I can't help but feel that its lacking some "oomph". Some scenes just seem abit boring/repetitive.
All negativity aside, its still definitely worth a watch, again its down to personal taste too.
Monsters, Inc. (2001)
BOO!
Hey sully wully, hey celi... weelia.
Big film from start to finish, a real childhood favourite, I still don't like Randall the big meanie.
Can't help but get attatched to Sully and Boo's relationship, it's so cute. Enough quotes in the film to stay in your memory forever.
Aladdin (1992)
Smiles throughout!
Really really enjoyed this film. A true disney classic. Consiering i'm 22 now, parts of this film had me in stitches. Robin Williams (R.I.P) plays the Genie roll SO well. A cheesey love story that well and truelly allows you to appreciate how big of an impact Disney had on many peoples childhoods.
Tenkû no shiro Rapyuta (1986)
A lovely watch
Really enjoyed this film, so easy to watch and it keeps you intrigued throughout. I also feel how the film has a message about the impact we have on this planet and that we need to value it more and take care of one another.
Lovely.
The Terminator (1984)
A classic!
This film is legendary.
Arny places terminatort perfectly and you can't help smile whilst watching the intense scenes of the terminator chasing Sarah Jane and Connor.
A film full of twists and turns whilst leaving you with a nice little suprise at the end.
Wicked.
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969)
Appreciate it's old, but very slow and boring
I feel harsh leaving such a low score because so many people on here appreciate the acting from Newman and Redford. But considering 10/10 is quite literally one of the best films you've seen, I can't help but feel that this fil was predictable, slow and boring.. regardless if this is some good quotes in it! Don't let this review put you off watching it yourself though.
