Interesting, Very Interesting
20 June 2000
Very Bad Things is not your everyday comedy, Although at some parts you will have yourself in stitches. The movie itself is a good one. It has got the actors to get it somewhere. Including Christian Slater, Cameron Diaz, Daniel Stern & Jeanne Tripplehorn. The movie is about a man who is getting married to the gorgous Cameron Diaz. On his bucks night him and his friends get a stripper. But unfortunately the strippers life ends that night. From there on it's endless amounts of bodies. Grave digging. Car Smashing... oh yeah and a wedding...

I give this movie a solid 7/10. It may not be the best movie of all time but it is a new idea and it is worth seeing.

A movie that will make you laugh, while bringing a tear to your eye
19 April 2000
Erin Brockovich is a movie that contains the lot. From the acting right through to the plot this movie is a definite must see flick. Julia Roberts is at an all-time best in this a-class movie. All of the co-stars are magnificent. They all put in a top class performance and made the movie worth seeing.

Even though this is based on a true story it is really a well-thought out and planned movie. The basic storyline is about Erin Brockovich, a jobless, mother of three who has been divorced twice. She hardly has a hundred dollars in her bank account and the only thing holding her from suicide are her kids.

But one day when she is hit be a reckless driver and takes him to court she loses. Annoyed at her lawyer she decides to force him into giving her a minimum wage job. He accepts and whilst she is doing her job she comes across a case which she wants to investigate upon. She is given permission and goes ahead.

From there onwards it is Roberts and Finney taking over the show in this heart stopping, laughable and sad tale of family, love, work and sex. Well maybe not sex but I thought it was a nice touch..

Overall a 9/10.. definitely worth seeing.

A great movie that will capture your heart whilst bringing tears to your eyes
25 January 2000
La Vita è bella is set in Italy during the times of war between Italy and Germany. It is about a waiter who finds true love with a beautiful Italian lady whom he continues to 'accidentally' run into. He eventually marries her and has a child called Joshua. The family is taken to a concentration camp women on one half men on the other.

Whilst all old people and children are being gassed to death Guido Orefice (Roberto Benigni's character) is hiding his son Joshua from the soldiers. He turn this whole experience into a game for Joshua and tries his absolute hardest to keep the truth away from him, in this the years best comical drama.

Roberto Benigni was marvelous. He could make you laugh and cry at the same time. He deserves all the credit that he has received over such a magnificent masterpiece. The movie itself can send a tingle up your spine. Whilst the acting is nothing less than perfect.

La Vita è bella is a definite must see for the whole family. It will definitely stick to you like glue. I give it a 10/10

A movie that will please some, but disgust others.

Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo is made using that new type of slapstick comedy invented by such actors as "Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, David Spade, Norm McDonald & Rob Schneider". It was used in There's something about Mary and was really effective.

Deuce Bigalow is a fish tank cleaner. He knows everything about every kind of fish tank, fish food, fish species and fish living. One day Deuce got a job cleaning an outdoor pond at a Male Gigalo's mansion. Deuce falls in to the pond and is helped out by the male gigalo himself. He invites Deuce in for a drink and they start talking.

Inside this manison is wide screen tv's, talking microwaves and everything else that we only dream of owning. Deuce then discovers that inside this man has got an $8000 fish tank with expensive and rare fish. But the most rarest is quite ill. So The Gigalo asks Deuce to watch his house and fish for 3 weeks while he is away. The gigalo warns him not to break anything or he will be dead meat. Deuce nervously agrees.

While Deuce has got bread in the toaster he decides to try out the indoor exercise equipment, including hanging upside down and swinging like tarzan. While deuce is upside down he realises that his toast is burning and the fire is spreading rapidly but Deuce cant get down so he swings over to the fish tank to get a grip whilst he tries to get down but yep you guessed it the tank falls over and smashes leaving the fish waterless.

Deuce places all the fish into seperate containers with water and tries to think how he can make the money for the tank. While he is sleeping he can hear a girl on the answering machine asking for the male Gigalo. Deuce wakes up, picks up the phone and accepts the offer. So from there on he's known as Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigalo. But all he's trying to do is earn enough money to get a new tank within 3 weeks... Not an easy task.

Overall I must say it has got some really funny parts but I think the script work could have been better. A solid 8/10

End of Days (1999)
7/10
The story is there but the acting isn't
30 December 1999
The movies plot was an interesting one. Especially coming up to the new millennium it really got viewers (including me) minds thinking. The whole story is about the devil coming to earth 3 days before the end of 1999. He then takes over the body of a new Yorker (Gabriel Byrne) and goes in search of his bride.

Arnie somehow gets caught up in the action and is out trying to save this so-called bride from her end. Although he finds it hard and challenging I'm sure you all can figure out what happens in the end.

So as you can see the movie does have the potential to go somewhere. But unfortunately the acting was terrible. Arnold Schwarzenegger tried his best but I think that this role was too much of an emotional role for Arnold to play. Kevin Pollack played Arnolds sort of sidekick in the movie, he was preety good at it due to him being able to put some humor into his role.

Gabriel Byrne was by far the worst I have ever seen him. Not that I've even seen him in anything before. He didn't scare me for a second and I always thought that Satan was a dark scary character but in this he was a sex-freaked gambler.

Overall I think it is just worth seeing but don't expect too much. If you are an extremely religious person then I warn you not to see it due to many people being hung by holes in both their feet and hands. In the end I gave 'End Of Days' a 6/10

A great film which can scare even the vivid imagination
21 December 1999
The Blair witch project is the most realistic movie you are going to see for a long time. Although it only cost around $22000 it was made so perfectly, so Precisely that no one could find a mistake in this, the years best flick.

The movie is based on the "Blair Witch" (an old cursed witch who lived deep in the woods near Burkittesville. She was said to have lured young children into her house and then to have slaughtered them.

Three student filmmakers Heather Donahue, Mike Williams & Josh Leonard decided to make a documentary on the Blair Witch. Before the students went into the woods they interviewed many people asking them about what they know about the Blair witch. After all that they got their 2 8mm film cameras and headed deep in the woods. Along the way they encountered many attacks, especially at night.

They are suspicious because after each attack they find rock piles around their tent. This leads up to the biggest movie of the 20th century. If you like a thrill or if you're a horror addict then this is right up your alley. The Blair Witch Project is not physically scary (you don't see anything that is scary) But it is Mentally scary (You see the expression on their faces and hear the sounds that they hear). Overall it's a preety good movie and it gets a solid 8/10 from me.

A different movie that will amuse all ages
21 November 1999
I have just seen Mickey Blue Eyes, and seeing the critics rating of 2/10 I thought that it was just another 'waste of time' mafia flick. Before I saw it I could not stand Hugh Grant but now I can finally see the humerous side of Hugh Grant.

The movie is about Michael Felgate (Grant) who is an auctioneer by trade. The love of his life is played by none other than Jeanne Tripplehorn. One evening Felgate proposes but Tripplehorn blaintly refuses because her father was part of the mob and she knew that if she got married to Felgate then her father and the rest of the mob would take advantage and get him into alot of trouble.

Eventually Grant convinces her to marry him. But Grant finds that he is now in more trouble than he has ever been in his whole life. So in the end you have Grant attempting to learn mobster language, dig up an accidental murder victim, sell paintings and make his future father-in-law happy all whilst keeping it a secret from his Fiance.

Overall it's a humerous adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat laughing all the way. A definite thumbs up.

Runaway Bride (1999)

A movie that will capture your heart while stealing your sandshoes
3 November 1999
Runaway Bride, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere is a movie set in a typical country town with its farms, chapel and small shopping center. Roberts lives in this town but just can't seem to hitch onto the right guy. She just runs away from them right there at the altar.

Gere plays a writer for a column in a magazine situated in New York. He finds out about this so called 'Runaway Bride' and writes an over-exaggerated article about her. Roberts reads it and plans to sue Gere.

Naturally Gere gets fired and finds he has a lot of free time on his hands. So he goes in search for 'The Runaway Bride'. And from there on it's a barrel of laughs.

Great acting and a magnificent plot help to give this one the thumbs up.

While hosting a party they hear on the news that there is a bomb scare so they hide in an underground house that is exactly like their old one but, well underground. Even though there was no bomb they still heard the sound of a CRASH thinking that it was a bomb. They stay underground and the next day she has the baby. He lives there and 30 years later he gets the chance to go to the real world.

A great comedy, drama with plenty of potential

Interesting, very interesting.

Dr Jekyll and Ms. Hyde is a comedy full of out of control laughter.

Sean Young is great (in more ways than one) as Helen Hyde. Although it may not prove to be everyones cup of tea I think that it could grow on you.

The whole story line is about a doctor who tries out an experiment left by his Great Grandfather, But it ends up turning him into a girl.

The laughs start and stop there. I think its worth a 7

My Favourite Martian is a movie for all ages
7 July 1999
Warning: Spoilers
My favourite martian is an upbeat comedy about a reporter (jeff Daniels)who one night witnesses a u.f.o crash. He finds a Martian (Christopher Lloyd) who transforms into a human figure and turns his life around. Great characters and the great voice of Wayne Night really makes this a movie that will capture your imagination while taking your heart. A definite 10/10

Mixed Nuts (1994)

This movie contains plenty of 'MIXED NUTS'
4 February 1999
This movie did not reach the movies and what I would like to know is WHY????

I found this movie to be great. I loved the acting and the storyline. I mean all you need is Adam Sandler as a crazy nut-witted moron Steve Martin playing a Psychiatrist and Rita Wilson as his assistant throw in a cross-dresser a couple of dogs and "Voula" there you have it A PERFECT MOVIE.

Everyone in this movie was great and I personally think that it should have been given a higher rating.

A 10\10 in every way possible.

Here Come the Munsters (1995 TV Movie)

A movie with a little bit of luck
30 January 1999
When I say a little bit of luck I mean that this movie would have been nothing if it wasn't for the acting. I found the storyline to be a good one but the old munsters click wasn't there.

I don't know if it was the way it was set up or the way the story drifted off but something was wrong.

Edward Herrmann was excellent in the role of Herman Munster as was the rest of the cast.

If you found the series to be excellent well this is one for you.

If you have seen this movie and loved it well then try the addams family series or the newly made movies Addams family, Addams family values, Addams family reunion.

A great movie for those who like Creepy munster stuff.

A small movie with a big heart
23 January 1999
Heaven Sent is a lovable, good-hearted movie that I found to be great. The actors were great and I think that we will see much more of the bright new actor (Vincent Kartheiser) in upcoming movies.

All up I think this was a great movie and well worth the hour and a half.

The Game (1997)
A deadly game that you would not even give to your worst enemy
20 January 1999
this was a thrilling action packed movie that even found me biting my nails. The Characters were excellent as were the performances of Michael Douglas and Sean Penn.

To describe the plot in a few words I could say twisted, demented and mind-Boggling.

This movie received my thumbs up and I thoroughly enjoyed it an 8.5\10

They save lives but now it's theirs that have to be saved
20 January 1999
Although the actors weren't too convincing, the plot was. Which was why I gave this movie a thumbs up.

Martin and Wilson were at their best, but Sandler was not all that he could have been. Kahn was quite convincing as were some other actors.

All up I think the actors could have given it more.

Chevy and Palance are great in this must see film
18 January 1999
Chevy Chase and Jack Palance are both great actors and with Diane Wiest playing as a wanna-be good mother this movie is great.

The way that Palance acts around Chase is great. This is on my must see list

This movie catches your heart while holding your breath
17 January 1999
Now I have seen many movies in my time but none as graphical and suspenseful as this one. This movie unfortunately didn't make it to the movies but i personally think it should have.

It's about a troubled boy who lives with his mother and one day gets hit by a car. He then meets his angel 'Howard' and from then on his life changes

an excellent movie and great actors help this one to be in my top 10 list
