Wonderful Show With The Same Charm As The British Bake Off
Usuls30 April 2020
Nadiya is a delight to watch.

The recipes are not overwhelming, she also explains them very nicely so I feel like I could recreate the recipes myself with confidence.

I enjoy that she helps a few people out each episode, showing them some new meal options to make their lives a bit easier.

The show, along with Nadiya, have that calm British charm. I'm a big fan of the British Bake Off show, that Nadiya won one year, and I get that same relaxing feel from this new show as well.

I would highly recommend it if you're into cooking shows, or just want to watch something relaxing and educational.

So much fun to watch
jacaosborn23 May 2020
Everyone who has seen her loves Nadiya. She is a national treasure. I love watching this show because of the joy and life she brings to the screen. When she is on, everyone is smiling. I want this show to continue but I do wish that she'd use healthier stuff. Frozen stuff is usually fine but canned things are often heavily processed and not good for you, and especially not for kids. There are plenty of ways that you can speed things up in the kitchen while staying healthy. I only made a few of the recepies in the show but loved watching every moment of it. Nadiya is so kind and full of life it just warms your heart to see her having a good time. I want more but maybe less canned and processed stuff.

I know nothing about cooking but this show makes me interested
As a person who's shyd away from cooking all my life, this show makes me wanna venture into the kitchen. Fast easy recipes, a good sense of humor, and produce production round out to make this show entertaining.

It was fine until I realized the show is an ad for mass produced junk
jczgal9 May 2020
I enjoyed Nadiya on the British Baking Show and am so happy she's found her voice and a flourishing career afterwards. I love seeing someone who looks like me on tv! But what bothers me about the show is that each episode is clearly an ad for something.

One episode she used Marmite in a recipe and then visited a production plant. That's fine. But what was really disingenuous was when she used Scottish Farmed salmon in a recipe then visited the farms exploiting salmon and their natural habitat to mass produce. The way she was giggling while throwing food into the pens for the salmon made of corn and wheat?!! How on earth is that normal For a fish to eat? And Nadiya giggling about how nutritious the feed is and how wonderful the set up is for the fish with 100k of them crammed in a small space. They failed to mention the fake food coloring and god knows what else they feed these poor exploited animals.

Look, the whole food industry is effed up. But please stop pretending it's a cute all natural farm that isn't hurting the environment. Or that marmite is somehow nutritious and not producing tons of plastic waste. At least be honest about it.

This is about as far from cooking local, fresh food as possible. She told a woman to put spaghetti hoops out of a can onto fish and bake it. What!! Sorry Nadiya, this is a thinly veiled effort at Monetizing off a broken system and not the sincere effort to put forth good food and sustainable practices you're pretending it is.

Fun and easy to watch
Calicodreamin15 May 2020
A fun and easy to watch cooking show. Nadiya walls you through multiple easy to make recipes in each show. She also visits with a family in need of quick tips to dispense guidance on an easy to make meal. I found the show enjoyable, relatable, and fun to watch. I even tried a one of the recipes and really enjoyed it.

Best cooking show. It is incredibly practical and simple and fun, it makes me feel alright even if I mess up, Nadiya has such a good positive energy I always feel good when I make her recipies. I have tried almost all of the recipies from this show and they all turned out great from the first try. I really recommend it

Charming - Combining Mary Berry and Inside the Factory
tatjanakueth8 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I gave it a shot the other night and found it relatable and a nice watch that gave me a couple of ideas to make myself.

First off let's get real - also with regards to the other reviews - who goes out every bloody day to the farmer's market to pick up organically sourced veggies and meat and makes everything from scratch (while working 10 hour days potentially at minimum wage and has to take care of 3 kids). So, yes Nadiya promotes using shop bought cause that is REALISTIC. The point in watching a cooking show is feeling inspired and attempting the recipes on your own. And the truth is most of us don't have the time or the money to buy and prep everything fresh. Could they have focused a little more on bio and organic? Yes! No doubt. But that does not mean that what she makes is as bad as junk food.

Is everything she makes healthy? No. But then no cooking show shows ONLY health food. Also it is not called Healthy Eating with Nadiya or Nadiya's Super food to live forever. It remains geared towards people who cannot or don't have time to cook. To motivate them to cook themselves rather than doing take-outs all the time. And yeah she uses canned and frozen food. I doubt that one drained can of spaghetti-os over otherwise fresh fish and fresh veggies is going to kill you. And you can certainly swap out for other fresh products or more veggies.

Then there is her visits to factories (some people may know the British show Inside the Factory) it feels much like that and is just meant to give you a brief behind the curtains look of how things are produced. Did they painfully avoid the question of antibiotics on the Salmon Farm? Yep they probably did. Do we have to hate her and the whole program because of that? No. It was not a great production choice.

I did appreciate the ideas and I am surely going to try the pancake tray bake and the egg rolls.

I wanted to like it. But, when she opened up a can of Spaghetti Os and poured it over fish she lost me. I'm all about "cheats" but in a smart way.

Kudos to the whole Art Department & Set Design crew!!
jhillermarketing17 May 2020
I have to give credit where credit is due!! Not only is this an amazing show, everything from the food, to the dialogue, and the over all cinematic feel are fantastic. The fact that my wife argued with me for 15 minutes trying to convince me it was filmed in Nadiya's actual "kitchen" because of the kids dishes in the background. Huge shout out to the Set Design crew & Art Department for nailing it 110%!!

Life saver
tmazharcp30 August 2023
She's so entertaining and the food looks great. I've already tried a few tips and tricks and it saves me all the time in the world. The egg rolls came out amazing and keep so well. I'm so grateful there is finally a show that isn't so focused on trying to get everything perfect and complicated. As someone with ADHD who struggles with even simple tasks, I'm truly grateful there is a show that is focused on delicious and extremely fast cooking. This may not be for those who enjoy spending lots of time in kitchen and have the time and mental space for complex dishes. There are already too many cooking shows with oh so beautiful and healthy recipes but so complex and with my ADHD brain I'm already overwhelmed. So excited to try a few more recipes and I hope there is a season 2.

Shameless
lotusdinbalta2 May 2020
Shameless propaganda of prepackaged, processed or unethically farmed produce. In a time when humanity needs to learn to use less packaging, the industry is pushing this damaging message to the public, by means of a lovely lady in a dollhouse kitchen, who keeps repeating over and over that we should use something packaged instead of fresh.

Quick but unhealthy
surbhia-8773016 May 2020
Recepies are quick but a lot of frozen and canned items used which is not good especially for kids. I would rather recommend quick recepies with fresh produce and meat which has no preservatives.

Terrible "recipes"
EmmettBrown7 July 2020
I wanted to like the show, the host is charming. Her "cheat" recipes are disgusting and unhealthy. A recipe using canned spaghetti Os?!?! Yuck! I was done after that.

More ads than actual cooking
c-doa28720 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Nadiya is great and charming as usual. Not all of the recipes seem to be that tasty (like using beef jerky to eat with noodle, it might just be me but that doesn't sound delicious). This show was marketed as recipes that save you time, so a lot of them are not exactly healthy but I could have looked past that, if not because almost half of every episode is just an ad sponsored by a produce company! Honestly, I gave up after 3 eps. What a waste of time, you won't learn much from this show.

Found most of the dishes quite disgusting by the way they were prepared. I would rather order a pizza than prepare this junk food at home!
