Emile teased her as "the most terrifying person he has ever seen" in the last episode, and on that front we were let down. They did give us answers, but not all of them.

We knew this would be the end of Lia here, but it was still a cop out to go the predictable route for the finale. Overall, I think this is a show that had potential but just kept dropping the ball.

After reuniting with her uncle Emile. Lia later meets the mysterious Lenore who invites her in for a chat.

Emile called Lenore the most dangerous person he has ever met.

Lenore seems friendly enough, she claims that she has been baking bread. Then she pushes a timer button and time counts down.

The episode gives explanations to the mystery of Limetown. It really is someone sitting down and explaining everything.

The people without the implants were killed and liquefied in acid. Those with implants escaped elsewhere under a network of underground tunnels.

It was not that dramatic and it still had an unsatisfying coda regarding Lia's fate.

Understandably there is no second series and frankly the show does not deserve one.
