Def(t)ective Diwakara played by Rishab Shetty is an aspiring detective who likes to read & watch crime fiction books & movies. He is pestered by his father to become a policeman and eventually he becomes a police constable who does small chores for his seniors. After he successfully solves a murder case, he will be assigned the task of solving a theft case which happens in different police stations. How he solves this case is what the movie's all about! The plot is very interesting with many funny scenes and rib-tickling dialogues. The film takes you into the 80's era which is very nostalgic. Rishab & Haripriya's mesmerizing romance and the beautiful song will have you engaged. Prakash Tuminad, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty and all other actors have performed really well. The film becomes a bit slow in the 2nd half, however the climax is brilliantly shot and is quite mind boggling! Overall this movie is worth a watch!

Rishabh suits the retro look as needed by the story. Music especially the folk song is amazing and you will remember it after the movie. The sequence of events keep you guessing and the pace is just enough to have a good mixture of music comedy and retro style. All actors have performed well and even the small characters leaves an impression. characters look genuine as well.Overwelming climax with the folk style backgroud score is huge highlight. It does justice to its genre and keeps the narrative simple. twists are well presented and overall a mustwatch as its rare to find this kind of combination in a movie.

A neatly picturized 70's era movie with funny characters throughout but fails to hold on. A curious whodunit movie ends rather tamely with audience dumbfounded. And fails to convince that the mysterious robbery was really a master work which requires a sherlock Holmes type of a detective.
Loved most part of the movie, but as in most of the detective stories, the ending is even more disappointing in this one.
The trick was to give a impeccable plot of robbery/murder...which is not the case in this one.

Seriously?? You call this a brilliant movie? Every damn thing was predictable. Cliche twist at the end. I'm writing a review for the first time. I had to!!!!! Mind-blowing twists for the dumb people. Anyone with common sense would get a clear picture of the so called twists halfway through the movie. There was no single piece of twist that was unexpected. Cliche at it's peak!!!!

Recently I saw lot of movies in 2019,but only few I saw with good screenplay and casting. Blind people song was awesome and the romantic song, background music score, overall crew worked hard for the movie to present in silver screen, rishap, jayathreetha, Dayanand done their work too good.... Went In with hell lots of expectations as it was the acting debut of the very talented director Rishab shetty. Also saw couple of reviews on IMDb which did mention that the movie was superb.
I had to call my friends and convinced them asking to join me for this movie . so finally 4 of them agreed to watch this movie with me. When we reached the cinema screen , we were the only 4 who had booked the tickets for the show . Then the movie started .
Review - Very dumb movie . Bad direction. bad screenplay , bad dubbing , director making an attempt to be a hero for no reasons, some investigation , some plot , some good actors being wasted and so on.
Hoped this would be just for sometime and the real entertaining movie would start anytime , but honestly nothing changed till the credits came . By then 2 of my pals had already slept off and I was guilty for making them waste their time and money on such a movie which had no intention to entertain cine-goers.
I might be having a different taste for movies but 4 people at the same time wouldn't be wrong for sure . So just avoid this for your good . The hero of the movie should really focus on making some great movies as he has done in the past.
