I'm writing to let you know that this series peaks in episode 4.
Positives: The main 2 actors could act; you might perceive "chemistry" between them in some scenes. The child actor did a fair job with his scenes. The music was not distracting. The clothes were fun (lots of fancy dresses and dapper suits). The sets and camera work were great.
Negatives: The main antagonistic sneared and laughed through the majority of his scenes; he was practically a cartoon character (actually most animated villains are written better). The secondary female characters were flat and were sad 99% of the time.
The plot was chaos. Flashbacks came at jarringly random times. Overall the writing could have been done by a highschooler who had seen nothing but Kdramas. So much "suspension of belief" that it strains the viewer.
