This webseries was excellent and marvellous and all characters are superb acting and the story like a movie and i like it and Barun Sobti's acting was outstanding like a younger brother of Key Ke Manon overall very wonderful webseries

Kay Kay Menon was just phenomenal in this webseries...charming,witty,quirky...OMG...Infact every actor did exceptionally well..unfortunately it wasn't Barun Sobti's finest performance. I am huge admirer of Barun's work so I would commend him for always choosing just ingenious projects. From direction to screenplay to script....every aspect was executed with so much finesse. But I do want to add that the person in charge of background score "DESTROYED" the whole experience. I still can't believe this is an Ekta Kapoor product...Yes offense.

I was looking for something to watch last night and came across The Great Indian Dysfunctional Family on JioCinema. With a name like that, I expected a comedy of sorts. It isn't.
TGIDF quite boldly (for India) takes on relevant issues that could occur in any family, okay Dysfunctional Family, but as one of the characters rightly observes, every family is dysfunctional once they're in the privacy of their own homes. To whatever extent.
We have a young teenage girl discovering that she is not 'straight', the consequences on her best friend's marriage plans, her family's shock and awe reaction and eventual acceptance. While this may not happen in every family, it certainly does in many and a big credit to the film makers for exploring this issue in more than just a half decent manner.
Everyone in the D Family has skeletons in their respective closets and this series maturely explores the various issues that are really nowhere near as uncommon as one might want to believe. Indeed truth is mostly stranger than fiction. This series does indeed touch upon a lot of ugly truths that prevail in yes even our so called normal Indian families.
Dont wish to add spoilers for those who havent yet watched, so let me sign off saying that TGIDF is certainly worth watching, holds the interest throughout. The only reason I rate it 7 rather than 8 or 9 is because of the excessive and fast forwardable Recaps at the beginning of each episode and the soap operatic melodramatic background music far too often. Kay Kay Menon is expectedly superb as the 'Khadoos' elder brother. He looks quite a bit like a handsome central Minister of State in the FinMin who also had a good innings at the BCCI no prizes for guessing who :-)))

I binge watched this show for my favorite actor Barun Sobti. I loved the chemistry between Barun as Samar and Kay Kay Menon as Vikram. I thoroughly enjoyed watching 2 brothers in the show, very intriguing but the web series was really short. A little disappointed with Samar's secret...to me it's not very forgiving. I loved the hauntingly beautiful background music at the end of every episode. I hope to see Barun Sobti working with alt balaji's web series again.

You definitely need to give this series a try, you will find something different in the show. It is an unexplored genre to much extent. This is not a perfect family, you will find flawed characters & that is the beauty of the show.

I watch this with our family and in the story are well written and many twists in story and their characters are played there role very well and many things we all have to see this show and this show represent a Indian family
