Wow, this show already had drama already to it, but this episode really cemented it. They killed Avocato, one of the central characters. His tragic backstory, his redemption, his friendship with Gary, his reunion with his son, and his sudden tragic sacrifice are just all done so heatachingly well. All the credit should be given to this show.

Really great episode! This show has really surprised me and is amazing so far. Teaches you a lot about friendship and finding positivity in all. The show does a great job with character development and I find myself finding a lot of traits of myself in the characters, and feel attached to them.

This episode was by far the saddest one yet. From the backstory of Avocato and his relations with the lord commander and being faced with having to kill his son to literally giving up his life for him in the end. Usually the episodes have had comedic elements to lighten the mood but this was just a rollercoaster of good and bad. Quinn realizing that Gary isn't such a bad guy and then successfully saving Little Cato was so touching but my mind during the last five minutes was just "There's a bomb! It's on his back! Get. It. Off!!". That final scene of seeing Little Cato literally watch his father die right after being reunited with him killed me. I really hope he's not dead but at the same there's a high probability he is........Great episode all in all. You know it's a good series when after only six episodes you get that attached to the characters and when they get killed...it hurts.

Speechless.

I have no idea how the creators of this show made me cry, only six episodes into the story! The fact that they dared killing one of the main characters this early, and that I started sobbing watching it, is nothing less than incredible. The scene was executed brilliantly, all the way from the music (omg, that music), to the editing, to the final shot of Little Cato sitting in silence, watching his father fade into space. Best episode so far, without doubt!

I saw it coming. I really did see Avocato's death coming.

But those last five minutes is what CEMENTED this episode as the best in the series so far.

I'm not saying that was the only good part of this episode though. The side plot with Quinn watching Gary's video messages was short and sweet, and didn't overstay it's welcome.

And also, while I did feel that the backstory was incredibly well-done and had good pacing, I feel that they should've built it up a bit more, take more time to get to know Avocato.

But nonetheless, the last five minutes are MANDATORY VIEWING. Not only was the death handled incredibly well, it was realistic and didn't feel exaggerated. Also, the song that plays during the deaths sequence is absolutely incredible, instantly downloaded it after the episode aired.

What else can I say?

Nothing else I say can describe how incredible it was.

This is easily one of the most underrated TV shows netflix has ever made. I legit had to pause to leave a rating for this episode. What a magical show so far, it's character development is impeccable and astonishing.

Probably my new favourite show and netflix show and this is the first animated series to actually make me cry because my favourite character died

Very interesting plot plus avocato dies and it is pretty tragic, this is in my top 3 favorite episodes i have watched so far (i have seen up to s2 episode 6)

Very pleasant episode. Finally we learnt something about that cat(Father). Sad that he died at the ending.
