Disappointing start for me...

Pros: Zombies next gen. Cons: Cowboy soap opera. Peebles plays his usual Slick Mario...he's a babe magnet. Meh.

Great Chemistry

This is really starting to turn into a full journey. I've been watching the series over a couple of months and I'm generally happy to be here at season five. They got a good couple with Roberta and Mario Van Peebles. He gives a great performance here. It's perfect. Great couple. I want them to make it together, which adds tension. I got no idea what's going to happen this season, this first episode is top shelf.

Warren and Cooper

This Episode begins with Warren, she crashed with the Black Rainbow drone. Warren is injured after the crash. Warren fell down. Cooper takes care of Warren, he found her two weeks ago. Murphy, Doc, 10K and Lilly survived The Black Rain Reset. Murphy knows that Warren is still alive. Warren and Cooper are kissing each other. Murphy is looking for Warren. Doc, Lilly and 10K their group are heading to Newmerica. Warren and Cooper got attacked by zombies, Cooper killed the zombies. Doc, 10K and Lilly meet George and Dante. Nice Premiere Episode of Z Nation Season 5, really great Episode and new storyline!

Surprised by the slow start

I'm surprised they didn't start season 5 with more of a "bang". Instead, they opted for slow, boring, and not much happening. For starters, at the end of season 4, they made it seem like all life on earth was about to end due to the black rainbow, which was the main focus of the entire 4th season. But when season 5 opens, it's more of a whimper than a bang. All that happens is another slight mutation in zombies. So all of season 4 (one of the best seasons) is negated by a weak episode and unimaginative writers.

Then, we get this sloooowwww story of Warren and a farmer. Who cares? It was stupid.

One of the main problems people have is the mysterious, missing characters. Since the end of season 3, we've been losing characters that didn't die, they just vanished. Are they ever going to explain that? Are they ever going to bring those characters back? Or did the actors quit mid-episode and the writers just forgot about them?

Come on, season 5! Do better!

Woke Nation was inevitable.

Political analogies. Zombies are "Talkers" and instead of getting bullets in the head. Lets make them an icon for political commentary? How dare you discriminate against zombies! If this was a joke, it would be funny. It's not, they are damn serious about this, trying some emotional attachment to "Zombies" care factor and their fight for equal rights is a 100% FAIL. Instead of smart story telling and basic "How can you go wrong!" fundamentals that the last 4 episodes didn't seem to have trouble with, let's just frame every plot line with real world analogies! Don't lock up Zombies! Give them voting rights! Don't put them in cages that's just bigoted. Unbelievable overrated trash, how can it be so hard to steer away from a great show that did it's own comical, unserious and clever take on zombie? So well done giving the last season to terrible woke writers. But if the intention was kill of the show, well done. If not, well. Good job anyway. 1/10

Episode 501

Was it terrible? No, finally seeing NewMerica, and the way the show evolves by introducing "Talkers" was good, but they're really reaching for some of these stories.

This was a lot of the worst parts of The Walking Dead. We need constant Z threats, not silly farm storylines.

I have always enjoyed this series, and previous to this episode, had given it an 8-star score.

So disappointed by this start to Season 5 that I've reduced that to a "6", and this episode a "4".

Boring. A zombie show, and it's boring!
