Sex & Nudity

- Carlisle is nude in a bathtub. His butt is briefly shown and a flash of his genital can be seen for a split second, although it's easy to miss and hard to make out any detail. Zeena approaches him and puts her hand in the water, gives him a hand job, smokes a cigarette, and kisses him.
- A woman unbuttons her blazer. All we see is cleavage and no bare nudity. A man begins to kiss her chest.
- Carlisle kisses Lilith's cleavage, which shows a large scar from a surgery.
Violence & Gore

- A man tries to strangle a woman with a telephone cord.
- A man is hit by a car, and run over immediately after. We catch a brief glimpse of his mangled body, that has joints broken, his torso crushed and his face gone.
- An old man is punched to death by another man in a fit of rage. We very briefly see his face, which is completely crushed and mutilated. The same man is then seen removing a part of his tooth from his knuckle.
- A man is punched and knocked to the ground.
- A man drags a dead body into a hole and sets it on fire.
- A man has his ear blown off from a gunshot. His ear is briefly shown torn apart and bloodied. He later runs away and leaves a blood trail behind him.
- One of the carnival stunts shows a man biting the head off of a chicken. Blood squirts and gushes out of its neck.
- In a circus act, a woman undergoes a severe electric shock. She is resistant to the electricity, and is unharmed. This happens twice.
- A lot of the more bloody and graphic violence is saved for the climax.
- A man is hit by a car twice. A lot of blood is shown
Profanity

- Only a handful of f-words. Character refers to another as a "frozen-faced bitch". Nothing severe or frequent, not much other profanity is used, if so then only very mild or old fashioned language.

- Scene of alcohol poisoning.
- Various characters smoke cigarettes, including Carlisle, Lilith, and Zeena.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- There is a scene where an animal has it's head bitten off. There is lots of blood in this scene.
- The beginning features a walk through a demon-themed carnival attraction; this might be frightening.
- Lots of weird and unusual circus folks.
- The violence, while infrequent until the climax, is realistically handled and intense.
Spoilers
Violence & Gore
- Out of nowhere, an elderly woman shoots her husband to death, before turning the gun on herself, but the camera cuts away before we see anything.
- A man freezes to death during a snow storm. Not graphic, but shocking to watch.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The ending shows Stan become a disheveled alcoholic and lose everything to Lilith Ritter, who gets away with her actions. In the aftermath, Stan is offered a job as a geek, and accepting, he snaps and breaks down laughing. This might be intense for some.
