The Distance

Clarke tries to keep Madi safe. Echo tries to prove herself useful. Murphy and Emori try to survive on their own.

This episode was again one of the better ones. I really enjoyed all the plotting and intrigue going on here, especially when it came to showing where each others allegiances lie.

It was a very suspenseful episode that had me at the edge of my seat several times.

I do not know how to pick one certain favorite character anymore, let alone two or three. This season is definitely starting to prove itself to be the best we have seen yet of The 100.

I do have one complain though. McCreary is still way too bland in my opinion to be particularly interesting. Still just the cut-out bad guy, no real depth to his character... I am really hoping they will go a deeper route with him after this episode.

Let's see where this goes.

The episode is good but,

Why some people don't understand the word "WAR". Some people just.. be a good guy. Clarke said there are no good guys but now she is a good guy wtf. People just begging for morale in war and that's not making sense.

Great episode. Poetential tension between Clarke and madi. Octavia is starting to look like she could be the villain here, for this season. Buildup for echos character too

Another Great Episode!

Warning: Spoilers
WOW! The 100 continues to blow us away with every new episode this season. "Exit Wounds" is yet another incredible episode in what is hands down the best season of the show so far. Although they're stressing the fact that there are no good or bad guys, it sure is looking more and more like Octavia is the true villain!! I'm super worried for Madi going forward now that she revealed herself as a true nightblood to Octavia. Sucks that we have to wait 2 weeks for 5x07 but it'll be worth it!

10/10 episode!

Octavia was forced to rule Wonkru with an iron fist for 6 years... She's having trouble loosening her grip.

Warning: Spoilers
Kane is quite interesting this season. He's been gradually developing from season ones "villain" into this very pacifistic person. He seems to be trying to get everyone into the same boat, and i think it might just actually work if they just get rid of Mcreary and take Octavia out of charge. The leader of the prisoners seems very reasonable and is so far one of my most anticipated characters along Echo who seems to be getting set up for a cool storyline now that she is going on her own. Great leaders or poor leaders mean nothing trapped in a bunker starving with no plan to get out. You choose the leader that let's you live a little bit longer period and that's Octavia's entire mission and she won't let anything stand in the way of that. I understand you don't like her choices, no one should but her priorities are still selfless only to keep her people alive and it's easy to forget that she never chose her circumstances. I can't stand Bellamy in this season. He acts like he's trying to understand what happened to Octavia in the bunker, but hasn't asked her a single time. He's not approached her one time as a caring big brother. He's judgmental, condescending and ignorant of her as a leader. Her warning to him last episode was necessary because if he continues to push her publicly and talk down about Wonkru, she'll have to do something because her entire rule is based on treating everyone the same...including her brother. He's too dumb to realize he needs to approach her in private to try to get something he wants. He thinks he can control her and he can't. It honestly makes me so sad he truly doesn't care to understand why happened that destroyed her.

I do not like Bellamy and Echo together
Neptune1655 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest, when Octavia told Echo "You have 24 hours to leave or you fight in the arena" I was like: fight in the freaking arena! Kill some people and be forgiven. It is waay easier than trying to talk to Octavia. I am just going to say this...Octavia could have made Kane the leader at 17 she was not ready to lead these people she could have shared leadership with Kane and Jaha. But she was too power hungry. The first 45 days she would not even lead bc she just wanted to be a warrior and didn't want to deal with politics. This got Jaha killed. She should have shared her leadership with Jaha and Kane like the council on the arc but they could have avoided the exodus charter nonsense. Octavia was too morally compromised after the death of Lincoln to lead anyone. Kane knew it that is why he told her a darkness was rising in her after she murdered ambassador Raphael. I do not understand the hatred for Echo, I mean, using common sense, right now, is probably the best warrior in general. She still has the skills of before, skills that made her one of the most feared and deadly warriors of Azgeda, has understood what it is to be smarter in the war, has acquired the understanding and empathy of Bellamy, Raven, Monty and the others; I mean, in a nutshell, "the heart and the head." I like Echo now though and her character development is great. It would be a copout if the writers just killed her. But Bellamy with Echo does not make sense.
