A watchable thriller but you won't leave with anything more than you came with. Impressive for low budget. Also skeptical about some of the high review bots?

Not a bad low budget film

Bad scrpit, mediocre movie.

Here we go again with the fake reviews here. It's a shame that IMDb doesn't do anything about that. Chameleon starts promising but as soon as the story unfolds a bit you can only see the many flaws in the script. Marcus Mizelle is just not a good writer. As a director he won't win much prizes either even though that was slightly better than the writing. The story has so much things that would never happen in real life it just becomes lame to watch. The acting is just about okay for some, others were mediocre at best, like the whole story. Forget about all the ten stars reviews, those are all fake.

Wow, it goes to show you not even the producers had faith in their own movie with all the clearly obvious bogus 7, 8, 9 and 10/10 smh. One of the worst films of the year, ignore the lies on how good this is, it's not, don't waste your time like I did.
Utter Rubbish

A great movie worth the watch!

This film has all the qualities that you would expect from a seasoned director. Director/writer/producer Marcus Mizelle hits it out of the park on his first big league movie. The suspenseful overtones have you intrigued from the very beginning, constantly wondering what these characters are going to do next. The plot twists come without warning, but at the perfect time. Although the very beginning is a tad jumpy, Mizelle really falls into his stride pretty early, and the outcome is a great movie worth the watch! I expect we'll see big things in the future from this young director.
Don't Fall For Fake Reviews!

This movie is absolutely terrible! I fell for the fake reviews, as this was an all around disaster from the beginning. I kept watching because I was waiting for it to get better after seeing the rating. The writing, plot, directing, lack of development, acting, music, cinematography....everything was horrible. Don't waste your time like I did and go watch paint dry instead.
Is it that bad?

bad film with very very bad acting - ignore high reviews, they're all fake. 1 is too high!

Where do they get their actors from? The coloured guy who played the kidnapper was simply terrible. Deformed, shuffling about, no coordination in motion, ridiculous. Related somehow to someone supporting the film? Maybe, but he was bad, really bad. If you're going to play a kidnapper, make some effort in the part!
And his cross-eyed accomplice who thinks he's god's gift to women! Come on people.
Oh, don't forget the cops who were like primary school infants playing cops and robbers?!
There were so many holes in the plot that made a pathetic film, a pathetic mess. It was a mess from beginning to end with an absurd plot.
And don't forget the fake reviews from film company shills.

Stylistic film

Just streamed it on Prime and I'm shocked by the bad reviews on here. Are we watching the same Chameleon here? The cast was impressive as was the editing and sound. Storyline is nice plus it's shot in LA so if your in LA you will recognize some of the locations.
Plenty of potential

Firstly congrats to the director and team for pulling this off. It's a micro-budget film and I'm surprised as to how high of a quality film that were able to make on a shoe string budget. Secondly, yes there are spotty parts in the film but I loved the storyline and the acting. If you can get past some parts it's not that bad at all, it's a flick worth watching. Peace

Absolute time waster

I don't know what some of the reviewers who highly recommend this movie where thinking unless of course they are in someway connected to the people involved. I have seen many low budget films and take in account the limited means with which they have to work. This movie has bad acting, an unbelievable story and if you will see it through you will wish you could get your time back. Save yourself the disappointment.
B movie

I wonder what movie all the other reviewers with high ratings have been watching. This movie had bad acting, bad and predictable script, no real plot twists or story. It also looked very cheap. I was waiting for it get better, wasting my time.
Good ride

We were bored and streamed it on Prime. Good actors though the storyline was a little so so but for most of the parts it was suspenseful and had just enough twists to make us want to watch it till the end. Cool movie though, we liked it.
Solid movie, ignore the trolls

Average movie with good acting

This film had potential but it got lost in it's own mess. I felt like parts was dragging to much and I got bored quick, they could have cut out a lot of bits to make it a better put together film. On a positive note I think the actors were great as was the storyline but just needs better execution.
I called it during the opening credits...
Top_Dawg_Critic21 May 2020
...of which were 3 minutes long of useless fade in and out images to black screen opening credits - back and forth, back and forth, repeat, etc...
Then we have the Jack of all trades, master of none film credits: producer, writer, director, editor, cinematographer, actor, and sound... Marcus Mizelle, who's actual experience is Camera and Electrical Department. So, to go from what you're seasoned experience is, to wearing that many hats - attempted 10-14 times, still ended up as a flop.
The directing was amateurish with worse editing than a 5th grader. The cinematography was sub-par and the fade-to-spot scenes was over-and-done in the 1980's. The writing/screenplay bland, predictable, mish-mashed scenes, slow, and riddled with plot and technical issues. An 80 minute film should not feel like it's 3 hours long, and certainly not have 13 minutes of opening and closing credits! So the actual 67 minutes of story had too much filler with little substance, and should have been a short film. The score was annoyingly repetitive, loud, constant, and unfitting. With the exception of newb actor Donald Prabatah, and Alicia Leigh Willis, every other actor was terrible - bland, boring and unconvincing. Most of that blame falls on the director, who needed to do a much better job in directing his cast.
Clearly this film has been falsely up-voted, not to mention the clearly obvious bogus reviews. It's not that Marcus Mizelle is an un-experienced filmmaker, so there's no excuse for this bad production, but perhaps he should've worn less hats, and passed on some of the major responsibilities to more seasoned filmmakers. The film I saw before this one, Last Moment of Clarity (2020), was written and directed by two amateur brother filmmakers - their first ever dabble in filmmaking, and they nailed it. Marcus Mizelle needs to see that film and look at their empty resume and see how a film should be made.
It's an honest and very generous 3/10 from me.

How do they get money to make this rubbish?
jamesadam-073389 June 2020
This movie is so bad on so many levels. Terrible script combined with the most wooden acting I have ever seen. The lead guy has the screen presence and acting skills of a dead fish. A group of us watched it and the girls were all laughing at his attempts to be attractive to all these dumb women he cons. Think Bogan (an Aussie redneck, trailer trash, someone dirty & unwashed). The supporting cast are equally forgettable, the filming is like someone just finished a short online course and used it here. Don't waste your time on this, Its not interesting, entertaining or worth the time you will waste on this badly acted, weak scripted rubbish.
