Bishop
ryanclark-472732 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I'll admit the show hasn't been the same since Tony and Abby left but in some ways it's alright, one of the other reviews states that Bishop gets away with murder (true) but if you recall back to S10, Ziva also went rogue to find Bodnar for revenge (throwing him off the ship) on killing Eli. Bishop went to get her revenge for Qasim by killing Chen. Ziva is still better than Bishop but the two can be compared in some ways

2 goofs (Spoilers)
robertka123 February 2017
Warning: Spoilers
As always, I LOVE this series and look forward to it each and every week. 2 goofs surprised me in this episode: the first one is when they show the victim's first name as RENEÉ. René is a French name for boys. When it is used for girls, a muted e is added, making it RENÉE with the accent on the first E and not on the second E. Even though this is a goof, it is really mild when compared to the second one.

The second and very strange goof is when Bishop, after handcuffing Chen to the pipes, declares that she got the program Chen had had done to blow up the tower and she pulls out from her purse a FLOPPY disk! She then proceeds to insert it in a slot in a green metal concoction on the wall, goes outside to meet the rest of the team and the whole building with the tower and Chen inside blows up.

As a certified tech, this reminds me of some of the movies in the early 90's where secret agents would be fighting over incredible massive data and files and everything would incredibly enough would be on a floppy disk. First of all, floppy disks only hold 1.44 Mb, enough for a small document. A program Bishop refers to would need a lot more than a floppy to be carried around. Secondly, even if you had enough on a floppy, which is still impossible, you would have execute that program on a computer. Bishop just shoves it in a slot and the thing runs by itself. But the best in all of that is that Bishop is technically inclined, why would she use an antique floppy disk from the early 90's in 2017???

Bishop gets away with murder
skipperkd1 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Wtf? Bishop breaks every rule in the book, disobeys direct orders across three tiers up the chain of command, and ends by virtually committing murder. She continually keeps secrets from her boss and her team. No consequences, only some vague mention of prices to pay, probably implying future guilt or regret. Bishop did the same thing in prior episodes and also in season 16, when she goes off the grid to follow various lead Ziva left behind.

Bishop is The Fonz jumping over the shark episode.

Warning: Spoilers
Bishop has no reason that NCIS has given us as to her dark side. Example(no childhood tragedy, no rape, etc...) This isn't her first offensive either. Previous episodes she's also demonstrates that she is insubordination to anyone else's opinions or leadership. She's is a terrible character! She is so narcissistic and believes she's the only one who has the right to break LAWS and orders from higher ups. She acts like killing Chen was her decision and no one else's, especially Gibbs or Vance. She doesn't listen to her friend and co-worker Clayton who warns her. She's is a hot mess because of poor writing. She is no Ziva or Kate or Paula or even EJ. She's a fine actor, but the story line is so stupid.

Now, the Congresswoman acts like she's god, and she now runs NCIS ordering everyone around. She said in a previous show, that she works for her statespeople, 100%. She committed treason meeting with Chen & CIA and striking a deal with a known terrorist (aka-we don't make deals with terrorists). Why isn't she in jail waiting for the hangman's noose? Once again though, she's a good actor but the writers had very poor writing skills. I can't believe Mark Harmon(since he's the executive producer), allowed this horrible story line to transpire. This was not one of their finest seasons with writing.

WOW, just WOW!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This pathetic attempt to make Bishop appear as a Bad Ass is an unequivocal FAILURE. She's NOT Ziva, she's NOT Fiona (Burn Notice), hell - she's not even Hillary Clinton (who is definitely NOT a Bad Ass either - but pretends to be one, propped up by rubbish propaganda and completely ineffective smoke/mirrors...yet, it's so obvious - just as in the character of Bishop). I've been unsure/ambivalent about this Season after Tony departed and was beginning to come to a level of "comfort" with the overall storyline, but this just set the arc on a downward spiral. I'm PRAYING it gets better as we go along.

I agree with the others about Bishop not enduring any consequences she should face (hmmmm...sounds like more Hillary-like treatment, just sayin')...she gets away with the LAME "Sophie's Choice" excuse?! UGH.

I have watched some episodes after Season 14; went back in time a bit, since I'd missed a couple Seasons entirely, trying to fill in the "blanks"...not sure whether they have succeeded in rescuing this once enjoyable Series. THANK GOODNESS we still have Mark Harmon and David McCallum, or we wouldn't have a show at all.

FWIW, I actually really like Jennifer Esposito - was bummed when she was let go from "Blue Bloods" (as I understand, due to a medical issue that the network refused to accommodate - I could be wrong) - she was the BEST partner for Danny Reagan (the current Latina they have playing his partner is D-U-L-L...just boring). Enjoying her in NCIS so far...wonder what happened to facilitate her departure in this case (I'm aware she doesn't appear after this Season ends)...?
