Dora - Take a ride on this possessed car along with the lady superstar Nayantara

Lady Superstar "Nayantara" takes another horror genre after her sleeper hit Maya. Dora follows the recent craze in the industry, which is horror- comedy genre. Nayatara as the lead buys a vintage Austin Cambridge car that is possessed and seeks her help to take revenge on a Psycho burglar group. Therefore, that is pretty much the story.

On the execution, the first half was slow with some over introduction base of just two characters that is Nayantara as pavala kodi and her father. It moves with some boring comedy scenes between the duo which doesn't seem to hit the note. However, the second half picks up notes right from the scene of the interval break. Nayantara brands herself as equal to a hero in the second half. A sensitive flashback connects pieces in the second half.

The villain group scares us by their ruthless burglary sessions filled with no mercy murders. There is a cop character shown from the starting but towards the end of the movie it disappears for no reason and nothing was shown what happened to his follow up on the case. VFX was convincing and all car scenes keep us interesting.

Dora with a lousy 1st half and thrilling 2nd half will be a treat for Nayantara fans.

Ignore this piece of sh*t.

A retarded protagonist and her retarded father drive this so-called haunted car movie. Nothing new. Awful dialogues. Mediocre acting. Forced comedy which only irritates. Only Tamil movies adapt the Horror-Comedy Genre a.k.a Masala Genre. This is one type of tasteless masala that created nausea and headache when watching. Ignore this piece of sh*t at any cost. Nayanthara's worst ever.

Kids enjoyed the movie

It's a nice movie for kids. Some of the reviewers have commented from adult perspective. The story is pretty normal. The imagination along with execution seemed a bit complex. But well done. Nayantara was awesome.

Average movie with poor concept

It is a movie with average direction. 1st half is done better than second. In second half story concept spoils the entertainment but overall beautiful scenes. Children should surely like the picture because film only feels to be up to that standard. Repeated comedy dialogues slows the movie.

Great movie must watch..dog lovers shouldn't watch this movie.. wonderful ghost movie..very heart touching...song and Bgm great well-done...sema padam..very underrated movie.

I don't understand why this movie did badly

Underrated ghost revenge horror thriller movie . This movie is a twist on the haunted car trope . The car reminds me of Christine but with a twist . Nayanthara is great as lead character Pavalakkodi and Thambi Ramaiah is funny as her father Vairakannu . Pavalakkodi buys a vintage car with plans to start a call taxi service business. To her horror she discovers its haunted by the spirit of dog . The dog goes after the people that killed its owner . Whether its successful in getting its revenge is what forms the rest of the story . This movie has a heartbreaking story. Its a great movie. Recommend 8/10 . At least watch it once .

I actually don't review movies that often, but here I really felt the need to. This is a wonderful one of a kind movie made in tamil cinema. The effort needs to be applauded.

To just sum it up, there is Nayan and her Dad, a happy family of just 2, full of fun and frolic. Then a day comes where in they decide to buy a car and they eventually get one too. It is a possessed car. The twist is that its not just another ghost but its the ghost. The spirit of a dog is in the car.Slowly things start to unravel as to who that dog is, why the car and why it has come to her. Whats its motive is and what needs to be done.

The plot of the movie is very unusual. Its not the typical run of the mill. It was unique. All of us know that a man's best friend is a dog but haven't given due respect to it so far. This film takes it to a new level. The importance given to the dog is immense. If a human can have a ghost why not a dog. For a dog its master is the world. There is nothing else that he thinks about. It was very well depicted and it brought tears rolling down my cheek. Many had problems with the climax too but ultimately its all about the dog. Once its work is done, the movie is also done, why show further.

Coming to performances, the casting was really good. Everybody has done a great job. Nayan, as usual steals the show. the comedy scenes between the father and daughter duo worked. It was subtle and funny.

I would like to sum it all up by saying, we need more such movies. Nayan, please do more such solo movies. I loved it.

It is a must watch for Pet lovers and those who own a pet. They can relate more and feel the pain. for others it might be just another story.

There were minor things which could have been worked on but I would not want to take it away from the makers. I love it.
